Workin' on it!

Hello Friends!

Thank you for all the kind notes, comments and wonderful suggestions for places to stop on our Trading Tortoise tour, and your amazing, generous pledges. It is so encouraging to see so much support for our project and we are itching to start building the Tortoise and secure some more venues for our tour.

We are very grateful for all your suggestions and have been researching how we can add them to our route. Please keep them coming! There is a greater chance of us being able to add your city/town if there is a specific venue(s) you have in mind that you think would be interested in having our event or someone who could possibly host our stay.

We are happy to announce that we have added 4 stops (and are working away on including more): Minneapolis, MN (venue TBA), Sioux Falls, SD (Ipso Gallery), West Los Angeles (Giant Robot 2), and East Los Angeles (ReForm School

Next week we'll start buying the base materials for building the Tortoise! We'll keep you updated on our progress here on Kickstarter and also on our blog.

@Collin Hickerson - hope to see you at our Nashville stop. We're still working on securing a venue there, but we're definitely coming. Here is the link to the tour schedule section of our website:

@Gary Yarrow - yes, we're going to be in the area from July 10 - 11 with a trading stop on the 11th at Ipso Gallery. Would be great if you could make it out!

So glad you're coming to Sioux Falls, only 50 miles away....any dates yet?

I'm hoping ya'll head to Shawnee, OK since you're gonna be in OKC. As for venues, you could try the Mabee Gerrer Museum on the St. Gregory University campus. There are a couple of Native American Museums who I'm sure would love to host a giant Tortoise. :) If you can get to Seminole, OK there is the Jasmine Moran Children's Museum. Let me know if ya'll need phone numbers or anything.

Whatcha all think about Kansas City? Plenty of good places for the tortoise to nap for a bit. I would think that FOKL, Whoop Dee Doo, The Charlotte Street Foundation, The Kansas City Art Institute (where I work), City Arts Project & MORE would all be interested! I'd be happy to help you work something out here. ~Eric D.,

If you do Hawaii, think Volcano Art Center or Kenji's House in Kapaau!
