"Every act of creation is first an act of destruction" - Pablo Picasso
All alone in a seemingly post-apocalyptic world, fading away into unknown realms you start exploring the archaic land of DYSTOA.
On your way through this world, you will discover obscure secrets and forgotten places while following a trail of lyrical whispers. Surreal encounters and happenings are awaiting you in this world. In the end, you will find a truth, but will it be your truth?
DYSTOA is a surreal, poetic, and minimalistic first-person exploration game. A homage to the beauty of life and death and thoughts from one or another world.

DYSTOA will be first released on PC through Steam and will be available for Windows and Mac. Since the game is already in an advanced shape we are aiming for a Release in June 2018. The VR and Console versions will be released later this year.
Please keep in mind that all versions will be digital only.
Regarding the development of consoles, we already partnered with Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony. While we are already working on Nintendo Switch and XBOX ONE hardware we have not yet had the chance to gather experiences with PS4. So there might be some unexpected issues, but mostly it's just a matter of time and some Mate Tea.
Since our workflow with the game is designed to be lowkey, we can allow ourselves to work with a smaller budget. Since we are also only 2 full-time workers on this project, we can create and finish the game with the highest efficiency possible, enabling us to create every element directly and without resource-consuming outsourcing.
We have been working on DYSTOA for some time now and the game is already in an advanced development state. That means we will use this budget to finish the last chunks and additional features of the game.
Therefore we feel confident to say that we will be able to stick to our schedule and release the game without any significant delay. Here is a short breakdown of the used Budget.
- 30% Remaining Game Development
- 25% Taxes
- 15% Additional Game Assets
- 10% Kickstarter Fees
- 10% Music Production
- 10% Promotion
We are a small indie team of 2 former students. We already proved our capabilities with commercial game releases and even further exploring games beyond the mainstream. We want to enrich you with unusual, experimental and marvelous games, leaving you with a truly new experience. Only one Designer, one programmer, Ying and Yang ... together we are ONEVISION GAMES.
Together we have been inspired by games like Zelda, ICO, Metroid and Shadow of the Colossus in early age. Today we are inspired by games like Journey, ABZU, Nier and Dark Souls.
The aesthetics of DYSTOA are deeply inspired by Limbo and the atmosphere and gameplay are inspired by games like Kairo and NaissanceE.
Now we are at the end and we would like to thank you for taking the time and listening to us. We will see you in the world of Dystoa...
Risks and challenges
We have gathered a lot of experiences in the last two years while working on PC and console games like ESSENCE or ASCENDANCE. We know from experience that we are able to create unique games and hope to also do so with DYSTOA. As always, there is a chance that some aspects or features of the game might not turn out the way we wanted to and maybe have to change it as originally planned.
Also as a nature of creative work, especially in games, there might other software, hardware and time issues. But we will probably just run out of Mate Tea constantly.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
