About Blacksmith Miniatures
We are a miniature company based in Lyon (France).
We imagine and create high-quality resin miniatures from our original fantasy medieval universe.
With a solid experience of 5 years in the miniatures business with more than 20 different models marketed, our company relies on a dynamic team of demanding enthusiasts.
Quality and creativity are our main priorities.
Meeting and our project
We have been fans of Jean-Baptiste's art since the very beginning, and we have been lucky enough to work with him for a long time, until one day the project to create together incredible miniatures from his own universe was born.
Now we let you discover the fruit of this teamwork entitled "World of Jean-baptiste MONGE," and we hope you will love it and contribute!
Why a kickstarter?
First of all because we are a small structure, but with both a valuable experience and a good professional reputation.
Indeed, thanks to a collaboration with incredible artists, we were able to advance the cost of sculpture of the miniatures and some pre-prints and now we need you to start and finish the production.
To thank you for your support, you will be able to choose among incredible and advantageous offers for the purchase of these miniatures.
"World of J-B MONGE" is a collection of 54 mm (1 / 32th) scale miniatures of very high finish with incredible details.
Sculpted in a traditional way, these miniatures are sold unassembled and unpainted.
All the production of the miniatures will be casted in flawless resin.
For this purpose, we decided to work with the international molding company "GRX Créations."
The finesse and quality of the resin prints are incredible!
MINIATURES TO SCALE
Here is a representative and comparative visual of the sizes (reference scale 54 mm) of the different miniatures:
Below you will be able to find an explanation of each reward, so that you can make sure you purchase what you really want without any doubt. In addition to these options, you will be able in the future to unlock other products as add-ons.
All the miniatures are delivered unassembled and unpainted, except for "Choice n°8" (shipping fees not included).
If the main goal of the Kickstarter campaign is reached, here is the list of « stretch-goals » which will be unlocked each time a new aim is achieved:
To add one or several add-ons of your choice to your purchase, you just have to add the price of the add-on to the amount of your contribution, see the following examples :
- Choice n°1: contribution (22€) + add-on "Lullin" (17€) + add-on « Mushrooms » (18€). TOTAL = 57€.
- Choice n°4: contribution (60€) + add-on "Kobold" (17.50€). TOTAL = 77.50€
- Choice n°7: contribution (110€) + add-on "Ulf" (20.50€). TOTAL = 130.50€

We will look for the best shipping options.
We will collect this via our pledge manager after the campaign ends.
There will be no VAT, tax or import charges of any kind to the EU.
We’ll handle all that! We’re still finalising the exact shipping costs but to give you a rough idea here are a couple of preliminary estimates:

UE and Swiss: 5.5 € - 15€ (50 gr to 1kg)
REST OF THE WORLD: 5.5 € - 16€ (50 gr to 1kg)
These estimates might increase if you add a lot of Add-ons to your core pledge but we are doing our best to find the most economical and reliable solutions.

Risks and challenges
This is the first Kickstarter project by BLACKSMITH MINIATURES company but we have a 5-years professional experience in miniatures business.
Let's go through all the potential risks we could encounter:
- Concept: all the concepts are already created and as such, ready to be used. Thus, there will not be any delay on this matter.
- Sculpture: all our miniatures are already sculpted, except for those which will appear progressively in the stretch-goals section.
- Production: we work in a close collaboration with "GRX Créations." Thus, a sculpture and production planning had been established beforehand, but there could be a small delay in case of huge success for the new miniatures released (see « Stretch-goals » section).
We put all our heart and energy in this awesome project. We need you to help the miniatures to come to life!
We hope you had a great experience discovering the « World of Jean-Baptiste MONGE », see you soon!
