We've breached the walls! If you haven't yet backed and would like to support, there's still a few hours left to grab a reward or pledge as little as £1. Every little helps improve the film. Let the countdown begin!
What's Hackney's Finest about?
Hackney's Finest is a lighthearted journey into the dark underbelly of London. A fast-paced crime thriller, packed with intrigue, corruption, dirty police, Afghan heroin smugglers, Welsh-Jamaican arms dealers and Eastern-European skinheads! It all takes place over 24 hours when Hackney courier controller Sirus (Nathanael Wiseman) finds himself way out of his depth...
The Teaser Trailer -
Our inspirations for Hackney's Finest include the mighty Quentin Tarantino and Martin McDonagh (In Bruges) as well as awesome films such as Trainspotting, Requiem For a Dream, Reservoir Dogs, Lock Stock, Sexy Beast, Human Traffic, Layer Cake and Snatch! We want to show you characters you have never seen before in a wickedly humorous crime caper with hard hitting action. And a glimpse of the reality of the drugs world from south Wales to east London.
What's the funding for?
Filmmaking is an expensive business. We have already shot the film but we just need a little more to finish post-production and bring the film to completion. It needs to look and sound as cool as possible. An injection of funds at this crucial point will enable us to deliver polished post production that really packs the punch. This movie was made to be seen. We need your help to make that happen.
Hackney's Finest is the first full-length film from director Chris Bouchard (The Hunt For Gollum), actor/producer Arin Alldridge (The Hunt for Gollum, The Bill) and exciting debut writer Thorin Seex. An incredibly talented team of filmmakers have poured their creative passions into the film, over the past two years.
Writer Thorin Seex - Thorin lived in Hackney for many years and has admitted this story is 'an exaggerated version of his miss-spent youth'.
"You'll be being watched, even when you think you're not!" - Priestly
For our motorbike stunts, we went to the best - Marc 'Sparky' Chennell.
The unique tone of the film hails from its tongue-in-cheek humour, together with a cocktail of colourful characters and fast-talking dialogue.
Our aim is to make a British gangster film that's low on Cockneys, and high on the real mix of characters you might run into in the East London borough of Hackney.
"Time to get past the illusion of choice!" - Priestly
Full Extended Trailer
Check out the 3 minute full-throttle romp through the world of HACKNEY'S FINEST in our extended Trailer 1!
The trailer features music from some amazing DJs and bands including Si Begg, Gabrielles Wish, Where's Strutter and Tyler Mae.
A ruthless police detective plans to steal a shipment of heroin from a motley crew of small time dealers. And what begins as an ordinary day for most of them, quickly spirals out of control as the deadly trap is set...
Our outstanding cast includes: Enoch Frost (Skyfall, Outpost, Shifty), Arin Alldridge (The Bill, The Hunt for Gollum), Neerja Naik (Life Goes On, Sold), Malcolm Tomlinson (Emmerdale), Sean Cronin (The World is Not Enough), Nathanael Wiseman, Marlon G Day, Rajan Sharma, Katarina Gellin (EastEnders, The Inbetweeners Movie), Chris Dingli, Jeanette Rourke, and a cameo from from the hilarious Kulvinder Ghir (Goodness Gracious Me).
After 60 long days and nights of shoot, the finish-line is almost in sight, and we simply need a boost to bring the finished film over the final hurdles.
The up front costs involved in finishing a feature film and getting it ready for distribution (mastering, duplication, distribution, admin, legal & accounting, insurance, etc) are quite surprising. All funds pledged will go into the film and help bring the project to completion.

Risks and challenges
We face the usual risks of any film in the middle of production, but rest assured we are working hard to keep risks to an absolute minimum. The good news is that the film is 'in the can' and now we just need to complete the final phase!
The challenges we face will be co-ordinating the post-production team, and completing the rest of the post-production work on time. If we hit our funding goal, we are confident that we will be able to finish Hackney's Finest before the year is out, and get it entered into key festivals and film markets.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
