Funding Cancelled (BUT THIS IS GOOD)

Hello All,

First of all, thank you so much for supporting our Kickstarter efforts.  As most of you may or may not know, this whole thing began as satire.  We put up an actual kickstarter account along with our Save Detroit Kickstarter in an attempt to monetize the viewership from that video.  We raised almost $2,000 which ain't bad when you think that most people who saw the video couldn't figure out what was going on.

But don't sweat.  Detroit _(blank)_ City is STILL going to happen.  We have received funding from a private donor to create the first two episodes of our series.  After that, we will assess the likability of our efforts, and most likely keep the good fight going in making video content that satirizes the plight of our dear and disorderly city, and perhaps try this kickstarter thing out for real.

So please stay tuned.  We will be posting updates to this page and you will be the first to know when the first episode is up (most likely in a month).  In the meantime send me any ideas you have for funny satire about our great city, and please like us on facebook so we can build our base before the release of Episode 1.

Lastly, we know we said we would quit making videos if we didn't raise our goal, but we were lying.  We're never going to stop.  See you very soon.

USA TODAY Yesterday

HI All,

Wanted to reach back out and say thank you for all your support (see the above video) and ask you to continue help spreading the word as our deadline approaches. It seems there is a need for farce, so much so, that USA TODAY has run an article about the project written by Julie Hinds from the Free Press.  Here it is :

Thanks again, and please, let your friends know!

Thank you to our initial contributors! We made a new video.

Hi All,

Thank you so much for contributing those far.  We have a long way to go, but we wanted to thank our initial sponsors with this new video.

Enjoy, and help us spread the word.  Detroit needs this more than ever!
