Frequently Asked Questions
If I add additional copies to my order, do I have to pay the shipping price again for each new copy?
No, you don't! You only have to pay the shipping price once, then you may add more copies for the price indicated in the pledge level.Last updated:
Base game: the base game is completely language independent (well, ok, Location names are in English, but that doesn't really have gameplay relevance :))
Dark Alley expansion: The Dark Alley does have some language-dependent components, the Special Assignment cards.
Magician Powers expansion: The Power Cards all have English text on them.
We currently have the rulebook in English, and we already received offers from many awesome backers to translate it to French, German, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Dutch, Czech, Hungarian and Chinese. These will be uploaded to the KS page, BGG and our website as soon as they are ready.
For the sake of the expansions, the cards themselves will be translated too. Once we have the texts for the cards, we will release a high-quality printer-friendly version of them, so you can print them as paste-ups, or even as individual cards. I'm afraid printing complete foreign-language versions of the game is not possible at this point due to high minimum order amounts for each version.Last updated:
Well, it's actually not that hard to sate the appetite of the Galactus of Tables :)
The table we played on in Essen was fairly big, but not colossal: 160 x 90 cm. This could accommodate a 4-player game well. And, the player and specialist boards will actually be smaller in the final version, about 3 cm can be chopped off their heights.Last updated:
One of our most important principles is to not promise something we are not 100% able to keep. We have the production and shipping lead times mapped up thoroughly, and October is a realistic date. Still, there is always an inherent danger of delays at the factory, ports, etc. with projects like this - and these are largely out of control. If we had Essen pickup, and such a delay would cause us to miss the Essen deadline, that would result in a lot of rightfully disappointed backers (and rightfully disappointed us). We will do everything to be in Essen in October with a truckload of Trickerions, but when it comes to our backers, we would like to choose the safest solution possible.Last updated:
A 5-6 player version would sadly not be feasible at this point as we would have to radically redesign the game. It's not just the number of characters that's "geared" towards 4 players max, its also the number of Trick categories, the performance slots and worker placement slots, among other things. It would also stretch the game time a lot.
However, a single-player variant is definitely not impossible! Our backers already came up with a lot of useful ideas in the comments section, and we will be looking into how it could work during the campaign.Last updated:
Yes! A preview PnP is already available for free on BGG. This does not have final art yet, and the elements are still subject to some re-balancing. The high-quality, final art PnP will be made available to ALL backers, including the Audience level - we plan to finish this by March.Last updated:
There will be three different card sizes in Trickerion:
Large (110 x 70 mm / 4,33 x 2,75 inch): Performance cards
Medium (59 x 91 mm / 2,32 x 3,58 inch): Trick and Magician Cards
Small (44 x 67 mm / 1,73 x 2,63 inch): Assignment, Dark alley, Power & Magician Poster cardsLast updated:
