We Are At War!
Perdition is overrun by revenants returned from the dead. Enter a Dark Fantasy that weaves miniature skirmishes and roleplaying in ways you’ve never experienced.
A tragic accident rips open a gateway beyond our dimension to bring on an invasion by new horrors—called The WitchBorn®. These demonic spirits take over corpses so the dead walk once again. It’s hell on earth and now they call this place Perdition.
Long lost eldritch magic may be the only hope to save your comrades and your world.
War Mage Diary is the biggest expansion to both spellcasters and The WitchBorn game yet. This new hardcover volume builds on everything that players enjoy in the original work and expands on these ideas with invaluable new content. It’s so complete you may want to adapt the rules to your other roleplaying games.
Start With The WitchBorn: Enter Perdition
Roaming bands of survivors make up your war clans. The northern tribes are displaced wanderers. Dwarves hole up in their underground fortresses. Even the Elves have abandoned their duties, unsure of how to save this dying world. The Nezumi struggle, afraid the gods have abandoned them. The nomadic plainsfolk form an order of Paladins to fight The WitchBorn scourge.
Whenever anyone dies (even your own warriors!) a WitchBorn spirit fills the corpse. It rises smarter, faster, and stronger but with an insatiable bloodlust. You’ll burn dead friends just to stop them from becoming WitchBorn!
One to six players send their war clans into treacherous adventures. Portray warriors with Reaper® Bones miniatures or your favorites from other lines. Play in a campaign of adventures, where your young and inexperienced warriors continually develop, find treasures, and level up between games—If they can avoid becoming the main course at The WitchBorn banquet!
Enjoy Ever-Changing Tales
The Witchborn: Enter Perdition has the kinds of encounters normally only found in roleplaying games. Search for lost cargo in a WitchBorn infested wasteland. Duck an undead horse thief swinging from a hangman’s noose. Avoid a seductive sneak thief. Or escape from the outrageously evil WitchBorn centaurs of the plains.
Stories are told through in-game apps so everyone can play. Apps handle your warriors’ discoveries, wounds, and horrible fumbles. Add War Mage Diary to help them. Or risk death every new day.
Owen Schindel and Ash Barker have featured several gameplay videos on Guerrilla Miniature Games. Check out the first one here! And get even more info on the world of Perdition from Cory in the video below.
Go Inside War Mage Diary
We are at war!
Our enemy is undead and seemingly limitless, stealing our bodies even as we fall on the field of battle, stealing our strength, stealing our wisdom, stealing our training, and sometimes even stealing our memories.
We organize and plot. But how can we ever hope to succeed without the power that magic brings us against The WitchBorn threat?
Four join me in writing this supreme work. With their remarkable knowledge, guidance, and mastery, War Mage Diary teaches over one hundred spells from the elemental, the dark, and the Divine. This tome also warns of dangers WitchBorn pose to Kasel, Asylum, the Wandering Forest, and all of Perdition. Also included is an exhaustive compendium of magical wands, gear, and unreal beasts.
Please master the magic held within this work. Together we can turn the tide against the WitchBorn. Short of this, do not let this tome fall into their clutches lest they turn this last hope against us.
Hammer of Dur, Adept of the Divine
It Starts With Fundamentals
The Shaman Mugali takes you to islands of Lhyonnesse to learn the basics from Nessian enchantresses and the Sylph-like Myrhnn. Learn how to cast spells pregame, postgame, and in dire combat. Plus learn why writing scrolls is essential and how your magic will save lives.
The Druid Saorise schools you until you may ignite flaming swords and arrows to char WitchBorn. Summon woodland creatures and also Elementals to fight alongside you. Heal injuries, amputations, and even death. Trade bolts of lightning with rivals. Some may employ the dark arts to raise an undead army of skeletons to do their bidding.
Spells have expanded to well over a hundred in six different magnitudes. And no spell from the previous work is left untouched. Watch the Spell Video for even more.
War Mage Skills
The Dwarf, Aric Stonemason, discusses traits to look for in an Apprentice (because he knows you will surely die and must be replaced!) And then learn a vast number of new skills as your Shadow grows. Brew potions. Cast spells in melee. Unearth the secrets of enchanting weapons and armor. Bring Golems to life. Raise the dead as a Necromancer. And soar on the backs of dragons.
These skills along with all the new spells will make your mage the essential warrior in your war clan. Watch the Skill Video and see how.
Aibreann, the Spellsinger, explains a true mage may earn loyalty from some very exotic creatures. Lead your war clan into battle riding a fire-breathing dragon, sit astride the stag-like Peryton, mount raptors or gryphons, and don’t underestimate the feisty war pony!
Or entice the mysterious Green Man to heal. Command the coatl to fly and constrict your foes. And make the manticore tail swipe the bane of unsuspecting enemies.
Since the rise of the WitchBorn, Perdition has lost more riches than will ever be created again. The prized artifacts of Rymorgh’s Dwarven kings molder in buried vaults. The gifts of the Elven Eternals are sequestered in their secret palaces. And Challasaia’s Talisman is still sought by Paladins who swear it was too powerful not to survive the Cataclysm.
Vex, the Guild Shadow Mage, teaches that treasures like an Athame, Pentacle, or Elder Wand are still there to be found, purchased, or made and then unleashed! All you need is the ambition and the wit.

Pledge Manager and Shipping
You will be contacted by our pledge manager after the War Mage Diary Kickstarter ends. We’ll verify your email, address, and have a checklist for you to allocate pledge dollars for WitchBorn Extras you choose. Shipping costs will be collected via credit card or PayPal based on weight of your package, extras, and your address (to be fairest for all backers).
If you add The WitchBorn: Enter Perdition or other previously published products, you will have two shipping options. You can receive everything at once (the most affordable option). Or you can receive existing product as early as July with a second mailing next Spring once War Mage Diary is produced.
We will do our best to make shipping timely and economical. Current estimates say most US orders for War Mage Diary will ship for $12-20. Obviously, WitchBorn Extras could add weight and size so are probably more. International backers are likely to incur increased shipping costs. In the past, we’ve had backers in other countries pool their orders which saves a lot of money. Size of the order and weight don’t affect cost as much as that initial charge. We work with you to find the most secure and affordable options.
GamesQuest will help fulfill our International orders. This means we can consolidate all the orders, ship to one location, and prepay customs charges. You’ll get your packages shipped at a much more affordable rate.
We cannot ship to PO Boxes because there is too great a risk of the package bouncing back to us.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By pledging to this Kickstarter, you acknowledge the final look, materials, and content of the rewards may differ from the prototypes shown. The publisher reserves the right to substitute a figure if a newer one becomes available and the new figure is of at least equal cost (a greater cost will not be passed on to you). For example, Reaper had their successful Bones 4 Kickstarter; new miniatures may be substituted for some of these figures.
You agree that our responsibility to you is to ship your order as entered into our pledge manager.
If a specific component cannot be delivered AT ALL, we will refund the pledge amount of that component.
Risks and challenges
This is our fourth Kickstarter project and during previous ones, we overcame numerous unexpected obstacles to timing: production delays, printing delays, shipping delays, and customs delays. We’ve experienced ’em all! We’re still missing a couple components or Daughters of Twilight would have been delivered early.
Supplying valid email and mailing addresses is essential for communication and updates throughout the project. We promise a quick reply to questions (please do not try to contact our suppliers directly).
Production will begin on the book in September after it clears proofreading. With components coming from an overseas supplier, it will take many months to assemble books and templates before shipping. Existing items will ship at the soonest possible date. International shipping is likely to take longer than domestic.
The previous successful Kickstarters and a sincere passion for this project makes us certain we can succeed in this challenge and deliver our finest product yet.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
