Front Page, Baby!

The Antenna Documentary project just hit the Kickstarter front page. I guess it's a small thing, compared to the big thing which is the great generosity of the funders that are helping getting this film made, but Laura and I were jumping-up-and-down excited when we saw our little bit of front page real estate. I'll be writing more about the Kickstarter experience on my Live From Memphis blog when we're done, but it occurs to me that making a movie like this simply wouldn't have been possible even a couple of years ago. So thank you to the Kickstarter team, thank you to everyone who has helped us so far, and a preemptive thank you to everyone else who will to sign on in the next three days!

Hurray, you made your goal! I love Memphis, and have visited a few times for the big Elvis week (which I irreverently call Dead Elvis Week) with a friend who became obsessed with Elvis at the age of 50. But what I discovered was that Memphis is really a cradle of music and I loved it all. So I'm looking forward to seeing the doc. Please let me know when it's ready So I can check it out. And thanks for the support on my short film! Supporting one another is the only way to go. Congrats -- on the front page AND on your full funding!
