About

This game for 3 to 8 people is easy to play and once started you can choose for it to be a quick or long game.

New social search engine card game.

Title:

Search-it

Required game pieces:

Each player is given a pad to write on. Post-it type pad (Supplied)

Pen or pencil for each player

1 x Mobile Phone or pc with internet access is required.

One player is designated Game Master (dealer) and score keeper. (they also play and CAN win the game).

In the pack supplied is a large pack of cards. Each card has an open ended question on it. For instance the question might be “Why do people always . . . ?

The game master taps the question into the search engin on their smartphone or pc. Google (or whatever search engine is being used will give a list of appropriate answers. The Game master writes down any of the answers (usually the top answer unless it is too obvious - it's in his interest to use a funny or difficult answer). He then writes the answer on his piece of paper. The rest of the players have to be creative and write on their piece of paper the  answer that the search engine ‘might’ have come up with.

Example:

All players create their own answers to the question - Why do people always . . . ?

Player 1 answer  -  why do people always (Answer ... shout at me)

Player 2  answer  -  why do people always (Answer ... think bad of me)

Player 3  answer  -  why do people always (Answer ... die)

Player 4  answer  -  why do people always (Answer ... ask me if i am ok)

The USP of this game is that many of the answers to questions will change depending on where you are playing and what is trending on the internet.

On this occasion the actual search engine answer at the top of the list was  . . .                   (Why do people always look at me)

Each player including the game master put their answers on a piece of paper with their name and place in a bowl.

The answers are read out and the players vote on which answer they believe to be the correct (SEARCH ENGINE) one.

If  a player chooses another players answer then the person that chose that answer gets a point. If a person chooses the correct ‘Search Engine answer, then they get 3 points.

If a player  players chooses the same answer as the search engine answer, they also get 3 points. (This is why the game master does not simply use the first (and most obvious) search engine answer on the list and chooses a less obvious answer). Search engines usually give multiple answers.

If players guess the same answer as each other they lose a point (This encourages creativity in answers). (However if another player thinks their answer is correct they get their point back.

The game can continue for as long as you wish.

Totals are tally’d up at the end of the game.

Risks and challenges

The only forseeable problem will be in how popular the game is. However, using the funds (hopefully) I can produce enough finished games to use for future marketing.
