Whether you have a green thumb or are banned from ever going into a plant store again, these adorable little cacti are a perfect addition to your desk or windowsill.
Archaeologists spend much more time in the lab that one might think. We love to be in the field, crave it even, but more often than not we are stuck inside analyzing, cataloging, and curating artifacts and samples we collected during our brief excursions to the field. Often the lab spaces where we sequester ourselves are in the basements/back rooms/closets. These dark spaces are often not conducive to the care and keeping of lovely green growing things. My lab, for example, has few windows and as much as I would love to blanket my desk in growing things it just won't work.
Because my desk in the lab gets so little light a couple of my beloved succulents were sacrificed to the darkness before I gave up trying to have live plants on my desk. I needed to find a way to have green in my office without killing another plant. As an avid knitter, I decided to try to make one out of yarn and I succeeded! My little cacti brighten up my desk and keep the gloom of the Pacific Northwestern winters at bay.
And now I thought that I would share these garden treasures with you. You pick the size of cacti, and I choose the yarn! They will be made from a variety of green yarns. If you have a preference of light or dark please leave a note during your pledge and I will do my best to accommodate your wishes.

Risks and challenges
Minimal risk. All cacti will be hand knit by me and I already have all of the necessary yarn (trust me, the yarn is taking over our spare room).Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
