i an sad. just so sad. this is just so important...we must band together and pray for a better way to help ALL honest natural farmers to go onward, and make a decent living while also mentoring others to do the same. it is the ONLY way i believe in. Whole Foods, as Grown, Simply Prepared: Purely Delicious!

Blair and I are ready for the next strategy, the next effort, the next love-filled vision. Count us in. Your update #3 is almost as inspiring as the farm itself. Solid thinking within the dream.
      Onward for sure!

Just a question for Kickstarter (& John & company too); I was wondering what the possibility would be of re: kickstarting the 'barns are for people too' campaign (or whatever it takes) so that what generous support (tho' so far shy of the goal) has been pledged, could still be put to no doubt good use on the rebuilding project? Of course that would require the agreement of donors to make this happen. What are the chances & How? Wishfully, Mark Ross (near Fergus Ontario) ... past partaker & present hopeful in the emergent social architecture at Angelic Organics!

I wish I had more money, I would donate as much as is needed, if I had it.
This is a truly WORTH WHILE CAUSE!

I'm 60 years old , I grew up on a 250 ac family farm in North Carolina, one long gone now, to housing developments. I live in California on a very small farm.Three years ago a friend lent me a copy of "Farmer John", After watching it, I felt a hope for humanity well up inside of me...I was re-inspired to go after my own farming dream again. I bought two copies of the movie and started passing them out in my community. Building up a following among friends, who also seemed to really get connected back to a more natural way of living, connected to the Earth. My husband and I started putting in a lot of work on our own humble little old farm. Almost immediately after seeing your movie we decided to rebuilt the old barn on our property and paint it a classic red, It is the last one out of 7 old barns still standing in our small town. Now it stands tall again, good roof, rebuilt foundation, new walls. We want our barn to stand another 50 or more years, to remind people where there food comes from. We have been slowly building up a private group of people with many members in our community supporting our farming endeavors. Thank-you John, for all your effort to save your own farm and other small farmers, the effect of your effort is rippling out into the world, effecting many people, not just the ones you know. You changed my world. Your effort is making a difference.
      Again, THANK-YOU!

This place is one of the last places to learn things like home canning as the cooperative extension offices no longer give it. The people working there know it all without acting like "know it alls"--which is just awesome. Small contributions matter! Hoping others see the need to keep places like this accessible to the general public. <3

I am the director of Real Dirt on Farmer John, Queen of the Sun: What are the Bees Telling Us? and now the work in progress SEED: The Untold Story. Much of my inspiration comes from Farmer John, his farm, his history and the incredible community that has sprouted up over the years. I have to say BARNS are so connected to my psyche, to my experience of Angelic Organics, to the community gatherings that are held and nurtured by the barns. They are the holders of time, masterpieces of the land and Barnes Are For People, Too is a project that is so important to support because they are the testimony of the resilience of a culture that is rebuilding itself and farms and agrarian life will be that crucial link. I am so happy to help support this farm and hope you will too.

Your kickstarter project is so amazing.
Your love for people will be rewarded; your endless desire to share is what makes this kind of project unique and I'm sure the community will give back to you what you've been constantly giving to it.

This video makes my desire to come and visit that magic place so urgent!

Angelic Organics Farm and Learning Center is a magical place where people come together to share and learn and nurture themselves and their families. John, Haidy, Tom Spaulding and many others have dedicated their lives to sharing and growing the biodynamic CSA farm that nourishes so many. Many farmers, including my husband and I, have gotten their start in the programs coordinated by the Angelic Organics Learning Center. Children and adults get first hand experience of what its like to be an organic farmer. The transformation in progress is unbelievable but there is still more work to be done. Join me and help make this an even more lovely place to learn, grow and connect! Give generously today.

I have been lucky enough to BE at Angelic Organics. I have felt the power of a place where food is grown in abundance, soils are tended to with such care, and nature is listened to, watched, celebrated and - often times - humbly accepted. Angelic Organics is a working farm, and although events have taken place there, the structures and the infrastructure (bathrooms, lighting, electricity) are not ready for large groups in a downpour, for instance. This is such a worth while endeavor... John is right on to put his energies towards community involvement. I am so happy to support this farm!

This farm is a place where exceptional things happen to all the time. I have never been so happy to be a part of something that I believe makes a difference in so many different people's live. Students, Locals, Farmers, Community Kids, Professional, High school Buddies, Beloiters, Rockford folk, Actors, Directors Teachers, Cooks, Doctors, Herbalists, Don't forget the beloved Chiropractor,The rowdy, the subdued, the Cheese makers, the Mechanics, Bike riders and Stargazers musicians and mystics. Come on and Help us Out!

I'm so excited to support this project. John and Haidy are so creative; I just know the transformed spaces will be beautiful. It will also allow thousands more people to experience the transformative educational programs of Angelic Organics Learning Center!
