chuthis. reunites in 6 DAYS!
Dear Kickstarter Community,
chuthis. will be reunited in just 5 days! If you didn't know, we have been on hiatus for a year while Artistic Director/Choreographer Peter Chu was working abroad as Rehearsal Director for NDT2. Before that, our last full-company show was in 2014, when we reprised Nothing Sticks in Las Vegas; so, needless to say, we are pumped to be getting back together!
We would love to take a moment for you to get to know the dancers who will be performing this work —in3s—! We asked each of them what one of their favorite things about chuthis. is...
Jenni Berthelot is a Texan living in NYC. Favorite thing about chuthis. "The relationships that we build with each other, our students, and our supporters. I love the bonds that I've been able to build through chuthis. with so many...they carry over from the studio into life beyond the studio, and remind me why we do this."
Krystal Matsuyama is a Japanese-American who lives in California. Favorite thing about chuthis. "The people! There's nothing more satisfying and challenging than working with such incredibly talented and humbly intelligent human beings. With the energy that is brought to the rehearsal space and Peter's guidance, the possibilities for what can be created are endless!"
Jillian Meyers is originally from Portland, Oregon, and has lived in Los Angeles since 2004. Favorite thing about chuthis. "One of my favorite things is how connected I feel to myself and my body. I feel like the best version of myself."
Haley Heckethorn is a native of Las Vegas, but has lived and studied in many places! Favorite thing about chuthis. "The love for movement. The passion, articulation, and detail is always present. Everything is done with purpose and love. When I work with Peter and chuthis., I never fail to feel good about myself and what we are doing."
We are overjoyed at the support that we have seen, but we still have a long way to go in the 7 days left! It takes a village to fund the arts nowadays, and we are lucky to have the support of so many. We would like to humbly ask all of our supporters to please share this campaign with others if you haven't already done so. Feel free to simply repost our social media posts, or forward the Kickstarter link to fellow dance-lovers and arts-supporters!
Thank you all for your generosity and support!
