is a non-profit, 501(c)3, project-based dance company that showcases the work of Artistic Director and Choreographer Peter Chu and his renowned collaborators. After a one year hiatus, chuthis. will premiere three new works, together titled —in3s— on November 18 & 19, 2016. Performances will be held at the West Las Vegas Library Theater, LVCCLD, and are co-sponsored by the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District. You can help make this project a reality by making a tax-deductible contribution to chuthis. We are extremely grateful for the support of individuals like you, whether you donate, come see our show, or simply share this campaign with others.
chuthis. is a non-profit dance company that combines contemporary, urban, and theatrical dance with cutting edge lighting and sound elements. Choreographer Peter Chu is creating this new work, —in3s— to be presented by the company at the end of our LVCCLD Residency. The three works comprising —in3s— emphasize the rise and fall of a body influenced by the pull of tempo (i.e., gravity) and share an innate wisdom of the body and mind connection during movement. This vibrant new program, enmeshed with striking imagery, explores the temporal nature of emotions during times of uncertainty, exposes the audience to unforgiving truths behind physical misunderstandings, and seduces bewilderment.
chuthis. will spend five weeks together in Las Vegas to create, rehearse, add technical elements, and perform —in3s—. In order to do so, we must reach our Kickstarter goal. As a small non-profit dance company, fundraising is a constant, yet worthy, challenge. It is often necessary to ask our communities for the financial support needed to take care of our artists. Any donation, regardless of how big or small, is deeply appreciated by all the collaborators of chuthis. Our shows in November are open to the community free of charge—we hope to see you there!
Your donation to chuthis. will help to cover all associated creation and production costs. Just to give you an idea, below are some examples of what your money will go towards...
- Artists’ weekly salaries
- Daily per diem to cover food expenses for artists
- Plane tickets for out of town collaborators
- Costumes for each of the three new works
- Housing for out of town artists
- Marketing & publicity efforts
- Lighting and sound design
- Technical equipment, including dance floor rental
As you can see, there are many components that go into a production of this nature; therefore, financial backing is crucial. chuthis. thanks you for learning about our work and offering your support however you can.

“Given the opportunity to speak with Peter Chu, insight, brilliance, compassion, and devotion threaded each expression, verbal as well as nonverbal.” —West Orlando News
"Peter’s work is finely crafted, rhythmically sophisticated, physically demanding and powerful in its content. His creative palate includes an unusual blending of dance genres that is truly original.” —Jane Baas, Western Michigan University
“The dancers were elegant athletes as they contoured the space with refined grace, technique and performance. Chu’s choreography is aesthetically pleasing, yet undeniably difficult in nature..." —Alex Little, Dance Informa Magazine

Risks and challenges
chuthis. is committed to fairly compensating the high-level artists and designers of our company on a weekly basis. Because chuthis. has been on hiatus for one year, this concentrated five-week period together is essential in order to continue sharing our work. Researching and developing new work is not ordinarily accomplished within a period as short as this.
The majority of our collaborators are not local to Las Vegas; therefore, raising the money to gather our company of eight collaborators (dancers, designers, and administrative director) is an enormous task. Refining and defining details takes time, and this modest creation time will allow chuthis. to continue to evolve and share our work at the highest standard possible. With your help, and the fulfillment of this Kickstarter campaign, we will be able to accomplish these goals.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
