"Gremlins, Inc." Card Game (Canceled)
Welcome to the Steampunk world of corrupt capitalist gremlins! Build, steal & sabotage in order to achieve the highest prestige points.
Czacha Games is back with 3rd title! After successful campaigns for The Bird Told Me To Do It (Carl Chudyk game) and Impulse 2nd edition with two expansions we decided to give you something a bit different this time. Not so much brain-burning like previous titles - just light, awesome card game: "Gremlins, Inc."
Last year, quite accidentally, we had the opportunity to play "Gremlins, Inc." board game on PC. It was an electronic version of a board game setin the world of steampunk, which unexpectedly won over our hearts. We contacted the Charlie Oscar team - the publisher of the computer game and talked about the possibility of transferring it to the table. It turned out that they had prepared a card game, based on similar rules as the board game and setin the same world. The computer version available on the Steam platform was bought by almost 200.000 players, which only confirms its amazing theme. The card game has never been released for sale, which is why we became more interested in this title. After about a dozen of plays, we already knew that we wanted to publish it.
We obtained a license from them for several language versions. Less than two months ago we published the Polish edition of "Gremlins, Inc.", which Polish players immediately loved. That's why we decided to go out into the world and we've prepared an English edition that we would like to publish with your help. We have showed the game at many conventions and among reviewers worldwide, and the feedback we've got only confirms, what we already knew: Gremlins are a exceptionally fun. And we believe that You will enjoy them as well!
"Gremlins, Inc." is a card game with a big dose of negative interaction, in which players become mean gremlins and try to dog lives of their opponents and by the by pursue their projects. One of the main themes of the game is money: if gremlins had mothers, they would sell them in the blink of an eye. Gremlin would cut out last rainforrests if only it brought profits: for them birds and trees cannot equate to a glitter of coins stored in a private treasury. The second theme is corruption in institutions: courts should serve rich in exploitation of poor while factories herd workers voting happily for those who they were told to vote for
(a least as long as salary is paid). Ironically, a straightforward devil seems to be more honest than a marketing specialist who buys and sells votes those who pay more. So what is left? Love! Pure love given by Gremlins only to their mechanisms – even stronger than love of money. Money is just means, corruption is a tool and both are aimed at reaching a superior goal: possessing the biggest, the most impressive mechanism in a mechanical city. The prestige of such a holder is incomparable to any other gremlin’s joy. Me, me, me – a gremlin who possesses some goods smiles happily. Mine, mine, mine – murmurs a gremlin who observes the city from an Astral Lift. Some people may appreciate the world they have recreated in their heads, but gremlins love only themselves and the prestige they won thanks to cleverness and severity.
"Gremlins, Inc." is a game about strategy and nastiness set in a mechanical world of immortal and immoral villains. The project has been developed and implemented by people who come from different regions where the election is falsified by corrupted courts; where fat bankers generate profits while starving employers vote for populists; where people earn when they spend; where bribes play a crucial role in economy of a country and where the beginning and the end of governors’ career as often as not take place in prison. Although the whole game is a fiction, everything inside it stems from truly real stories. If you look around thoroughly, corrupted capitalistic gremlins are almost everywhere...Damn! One of them may even become a president!
This card game offers mechanics and rules on cards, which will take you into gremlins’ world making you one of those nasty and vicious pointy-eared creatures. But it’s not all! Due to wonderful and atmospheric ilustrations presented on cards you will forget about everything happening around you and the place where you start playing the game will change into a world full of steam puffing machines, glittering gold, precious stones, maze of pipes and heard from far and near ironical ‘Hahahiiihiihihahaa..’. It’s not just a game, but a passage into the space where at last you may show your nasty face.
Each player has a hand size of 6 cards from a draw pile. Each card has one of three resource types: Gold, industry or malice. Cards are divided into 2 main categories: action and project cards.
A player, during his turn, may perform up to 2 actions:
1. Starting a project: A player takes a project card and places it face down in front of him. Up to 3 projects may be started by each player.
2. Assign a resource: A player may take a card from hand and places it face up under a project, leaving only the resource indicator at the top visible.
3. Play an action: A player places a card from her hand on the table face up, paying its resource cost from projects being constructed (unless it is free,) following the text on the card before discarding it.
4. Complete a project: Once a project has the necessary resources it may be turned face up to complete it for prestige points and for special effects as indicated on the card. Some projects have permanent in-game effects.
5. Cancel a project: discard an unfinished project and any resources under it.
6. Pass the turn The first player to reach an agreed upon amount of prestige points via completed projects and action cards is the winner.

I am Przemek from Czacha Games, Poland. Gaming with people has been my hobby for almost 25 years. I started by playing old, pen’n’paper, RPG games and later I evolved and started playing board games and card games. In 2014/2015 I co-created a company named Ogry Games along with Polish editions of board games Metro 2033 and Bright Future. Working with games (and of course playing them!) gives me a lot of satisfaction. That is why I decided to go my own way (remember the awesome song “My Way” by Frank Sinatra? I love it!). Now I am looking for games worth printing in Polish and vice versa - I want to deliver to you, in your language, games that so far have been only in Polish. That is the genesis of Czacha Games, in short. I am confident, that all backers will be very happy with this game and with our standard we want to deliver.
If you have any questions regarding this project or game do not hesitate to contact us directly via email: email@example.com, our webpage http://czachagames.pl or via message on kickstarter. Also you may find us on Facebook www.facbook.com/czachagame - stay connected with us and share!
Risks and challenges
Since we have a lot of experience with crowdfunding (in Poland and KS), we are aware of all the risks for you and us. That is why right now, when the campaign just launched, we did everything that we could to minimize those risks.
We have already booked a printer for January 2019. We will send PDFs to the printer by the end of December 2018 so we can be sure to solve any issues before the booked printing time. You will receive "Gremlins, Inc." by March 2019. Of course manufacturing a game is not a simple process, so always something may go wrong, but it is outside our power. For now - we have done everything possible to be sure to fulfill by the end of March 2019.
