Join our Kickstarter campaign and help slam Global Race Club into top gear.
Global Race Club is the next major milestone in our company’s development plan; it will be created at our Los Angeles studio. To spearhead the project and ensure that Global Race Club is an utterly unique and authentic experience we have assembled a world-class development team, which includes a Hot Wheels designer and a number of famous auto legends, including George Barris, the King of Kustomizers. That’s right—George Barris himself is working with us on the game.
George Barris Comes to Global Race Club!
George Barris, known to millions of car enthusiasts and collectors around the globe, has been designing and building custom cars and specialty vehicles for Hollywood movies and TV shows, and for celebrities like John Wayne, Elvis Presley, and The Beatles, for over 60 years. His cars have appeared in movies like Hot Rod Rumble and Rebel Without a Cause. And his most iconic TV cars, like the 1966 Batmobile, Munster’s Koach, Dragula, Beverly Hillbillies Wagon, and K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider, will be available to purchase and race in the game. We’re proud to announce that George will be bringing a vast collection of cars to Global Race Club and will also be helping us design some entirely new Barris-inspired creations.

We’re building Global Race Club in modular units. This helps keep scale and cost low enough to iterate on the product in rapid cycles and release small “vertical slices” of gameplay so we can gather feedback from you at the same time we create the game. We want this to feel authentic—you with the pedal against the metal and the adrenalin racing, reeling from the thrill of victory, again and again. Can you become a street legend—the King of the Quarter-Mile?
Funding covers three release milestones:
We’re building Global Race Club utilizing a technology called Unity, which allows us to create a unified code base that we can leverage across all digital channels (web, Facebook, smart phones, tablets, etc.).
Choose from hundreds of car parts to build your own personal dream car
We will be documenting and filming the entire production process and releasing monthly video updates exclusively to our Kickstarter backers. We can’t wait to interact directly with our Kickstarter community to shape and tweak the game in real time, as it’s created—literally putting you in the driver’s seat.
Car enthusiasts can shop for just the right parts to take their vehicles to the next level. You can tinker to your heart’s delight in your own personal dream garage—a Garagemahal where you always have the right tools and the right components for the job at hand.
Our backers will also have EXCLUSIVE hands-on access to test the game once it goes into beta. And upon completion and launch, funders will receive a special commemorative version of the game in addition to an assortment of exciting and valuable rewards (outlined below).
Race challenges follow a computerized system based on class, thus ensuring a level competitive field. Issue challenges and take on the best.
Drag racing itself is a calculated game of precision gear shifting and performance. Performance rests entirely in your hands, determined by your building and customizing efforts. Then it’s time to burn rubber, power shift through the gears, and take the checkered flag.
Independent game development runs deep in our blood. Gene Mauro started one of the industry’s first indie game production studios (Capital Entertainment Group) and founded an indie publisher (Mylein Media) among other start-ups in the social/mobile game space. F.J. Lennon started in the days of text adventures, designed the very first Marvel comic video games back in the 80s,and had a hand in starting a publisher that went on to become one of the largest in the industry (Take2).
We believe that crowd-sourced funding is inspiring a game industry renaissance. Game creators are no longer wholly dependent on large, slow-moving publishers to get innovative game content to market. Emerging channels like social networks and mobile devices have created a direct relationship between content creators and consumers—fundamentally changing the way games are created and sold.
This is your chance, right now, to become part of the renaissance. Collaborate with us to create an unforgettable game experience. Get in on the action early to help us shape the design of future features as the Global Race Club platform evolves and expands.
We’re nostalgia fanatics! And car buffs.
Entertainment Games was originally incorporated in 1992 (formerly eGames) as a publisher of family-friendly games. In 2011, the company purchased Heyday Games – a cross-platform producer of Retro-themed content. Heyday Games, founded by industry veterans Gene Mauro and F.J. Lennon, had a unique vision of mashing up iconic celebrities and classic TV shows with casual gameplay. This vision was realized with the launch of Retro World in November 2011.
We believe Global Race Club offers a truly unique and fun game experience for car fanatics of any age. If you’re curious about how games are created, this is a front-row, power-shifting seat to witness a game evolve from an idea to a finished product. And for car nuts, tinkerers, gearheads, and racing junkies, this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to have a direct hand in shaping the most innovative social car gaming experience to ever hit the web and mobile devices.
