We use Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOPs) - oxidation processes carried out to remove harmful persistent organic pollutants (POPs) from water. AOP can be done in various ways. In all cases, the production of HO• radicals which are highly reactive attacks most of the organic molecules (Sibhi Mohammeda, Fasnabi P.).
Advanced Oxidation Processes are capable of destroying both pollutant molecules and pathogen cells (O. Tsydenova, V. Batoev and A. Batoeva).
Many of the current waste water treatment only concentrate on the pollutant without degrading it or eliminating it. In this sense, Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOP) are possibly one of the most effective methods for the treatment of wastewater containing organic products (Sibhi Mohammeda, Fasnabi P.).
