Mark's House will open this June and its ceiling installation gives everyone the chance to be an integral part of the architecture.
At Two Islands, we believe art and design in public spaces reinvigorates urban areas and enriches societies. Flint’s growing cosmopolitan vibe is reaching out to the world. Please read Mark's Story for the inspiration behind Flint's new Pavilion here: http://www.twoislands.net/projects-2-2/marks-house/
The light boxes are made from translucent propylene and they are 9x9x8 inches in size. We prepared this picture so that you can get a better idea of HOW big this actually is.
If you choose a reward, we will contact you as soon as funding for this project is complete to ask you to send us the image of your choice. Please be aware that we cannot put up corporate or inadequate images. Please refrain from sending us any such images. It is at the project manager's discretion to deem pictures inadequate. If you choose the poster or booklet, we will also contact you after the successful Kickstarter to find out which postal address you would like it to be sent to.
And last, but certainly not least, if you choose one of the lecture options, then we will be in contact with you at the end of the Kickstarter to organise a convenient time and/or location.
We received quite a lot of media attention through winning the Flat Lot Competition. Here are a couple of press releases:
Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
Building the pavilion and setting up the ceiling installation are huge undertakings and we are coordinating our resources over two continents and several countries – USA, UK and Spain.
We wouldn't be proposing this project if we weren't confident that we can deliver satisfying results.
But to avoid a large influx of images coming our way at the end of the Kickstarter, we put in place an email address for you to send us your images, which we will let you know as soon as you back our project. This way, we can start producing the sections with your picture while the campaign is still running.
Have a question? If the info above doesn't help, you can ask the project creator directly.
