We started out with the manifesto: if 8 people buy a ticket it’s a meal booked in a restaurant. If 8000 people buy tickets, we’ve got a citywide movement and a budget to deliver an incredible weekend. This may have come across as naïve. But it becomes what the people make it. We’ve already sold enough tickets to stage a very solid all day event in one venue. The venue we already have lined up. However we want it to be so much more. We’d like it to become a two-day multi-venue event combining some of the best DIY promoters in some of the best DIY venues. The bands people want, in spaces they’ll love.
At the moment it’s a all day event in one venue, but that’s changing every day as ticket sales grow. We hope it becomes a two-day multi-venue event with a closing party in one space on the Sunday. But that will only happen as ticket sales dictate.
