We are launching our Kickstarter campaign to intentionally and strategically grow our business to bring more good food to more good people. We desperately need a new warehouse. Our space simply too small. We have a commitment to doing things right, and the size of the space is becoming a real issue. Secondly, we've been invited to join a new marketplace on NE Sandy. Another retail location will allow us to buy from the small scale farmers and fishermen that want to sell to us, and give it direct to the people who want to buy it.
I'm grassroots. This business happened sustainably. I want to grow it that way. This means finding alternate sources of capital. We don't want to use big banks.
Risks and challenges
Flying Fish Company growing into two new physical locations will be challenging. We will have to overcome many obstacles, including regulatory requirements, equipment misfortunes, missed timing deadlines, inconsistent supplies, new system design and improvements, logistical challenges, and many more unknowns. We are equipped with a highly skilled team to push though this amazing time of growth in the company and food revolution in the people.
