Composing and performing funk music has always been a passion of mine since high school. My passion for writing and performing original music is why I devoted a career to playing alto sax in Addison Groove Project, pursuing a performance degree in jazz performance on the alto saxophone at the University of Southern Maine, and becoming a music teacher.
Composing and performing original music has given me an endless amount of happiness. Anyone who has seen Addison Groove Project perform live has seen my euphoric state. I have made a promise to myself that I'll always pursue what I'm passionate about and continue to write my original music.
My dream is to have the most talented and funky group of musicians I can possibly put together to record my original songs, which I have spent years writing, editing, and critiquing. The tunes are ready for the recording studio.
Some of the musicians who will be joining me on this are bassist Aaron Bellamy, keyboardist Rob Marscher, Jared Sims on tenor sax and flute, Brian Thomas on the trombone, John Notto on the guitar, and Tom Arey on the drums. There will be additional guest musicians joining me as well.
Thank you for your support and for your help making Bounce Classic come to life.
Risks and challenges
If this project is fully funded, scheduling will be challenging. I'll be coordinating everyone's schedule in hopes that they align to make the recording dates. I'll be in communication with all of the band members involved to ensure that we find a time, even if it means recording certain members at different times.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
