The weekend before Super Bowl 48, my girlfriend and I were in downtown Seattle celebrating her birthday. We ran into my oldest daughter and her friends outside one of the restaurants, and all anyone could talk about was how our Seahawks were going to the SuperBowl and how confident we were that they were going to win. That's when my daughter said, did you know that almost everyone connected to the Seahawks would get some kind of ring if they won. Everyone from the office staff to the cheerleaders to the announcers of the games. Then we both said, the 12th Man should get a ring. We are so loud at the games that we have a direct impact on the games. So I said, I'm going to make a "Ring for the 12s" so that the NFLs greatest fans could have a ring too.
So I spent months on the design and working with manufacturers to produce the prototype of the ring and it's k9 crystal ring box. I wanted the ring to show what it means to be a 12th Man and how proud we are of the accomplishments of our team. And most importantly, I didn't want it to be a cheap Super Bowl souvenir. My Ring for the 12s is much more than some souvenir. You won't believe the quality of this ring and it's crystal ring box until you hold them in your hand. The ring is plated in 18k White Gold and just looks beautiful.
Now that I have the prototypes complete, I need to place the first order to get these into production and I need the 12th Man's help to do it. So here's your chance to get the best piece of Super Bowl 48 sports memorabilia while saving some money and helping me to get the Ring for the 12s into the hands of the NFL's greatest fans.
Risks and challenges
The risk and challenges I have are mostly time. The manufacturers I'm using can turn orders around fairly quickly (within a couple of weeks), but shipping can sometimes take an additional week to get to me. And then of course, I need to re-ship to you. So I'm trying to move quickly so that people can get their rings before the first game of the season.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
