First of all, we've being working on this version for almost 1 year trying to perfect every bit of it.
All previous versions were limited to messages or smiles programmed inside its memory. Now you are free to do what you want! Simply plug your display to the computer via USB wire, download software from drivemotion.com & start creating what you want. Users can draw animations, write text (in any language), control animation timings, all with a maximum of 15 frames per animation.
Users can share and find funny message ideas online through our Drivemotion community. Create messages and upload for others to use. Browse online to find messages per category such as safe driving, humour, flirting, politics, sport etc. For the lazy ones, that want just to buy and install we've pre-programmed Animator with some nice animations.

We are a part of the http://kickingitforward.org movement whose goal is to motivate others to fund creative projects. We will be putting 5% of our profits back into other Kickstarter projects!
We have our own manufacturing setup with existing relationships with our parts suppliers (including PCB production, raw plastics material, fasteners & fixings, packaging/printed media, stock items such as wires/cabling and switch membranes). Each supplier works to our part specification, production timeline and delivery requirements - this includes a quality criteria for each part, inspected before building the final product. We control the programming of hardware code into the device and testing of each device using our own software. We control our own injection mould tools, currently hosted in a trusted moulding sub-contractor. We are experienced in manufacturing of this genre.

The team is well experienced in the production of products, handling of component suppliers and the stresses of ensuring products are built to specification.
In this special case of Animator version, the highest risk would be the robustness of the device’s software. For this case we have a 2 stage approach to production. Stage 1 produces and tests a small batch of production devices, only to proactively try and find production bugs. Stage 2 would be mass production once all bugs ironed out. We have several sets of production software and tools for testing each device individually.
The production is perfectly timed. The moulds are done, the hardware program is finished, the software is 75% finished (hopefully with your ideas we can improve the software and add features we didn't think of).
In fact we have a small gap between the real delivery time and the delivery time we stated (so some Backers would be surprised by early delivery).
Currently we are ready to start the production, but we need to purchase needed materials in bulk, that's why we need your help Kickstarters.
Drivemotion "Pure faces", "Ex" and "Constructor" are already manufactured and waiting to be shipped from our warehouse in Oregon USA. "Animator" and "Everyone" would be shipped directly from factory in China (remote controls and led boards are already manufactured so the production time of other parts would take up to 1 week).
