Government Worker is a satirical card game about avoiding bureaucratic work.
The object is to get through your day while performing as little bureaucratic work as possible. The game progresses by drawing cards that assign you work tasks, cards that let you avoid bureaucratic work by dicking off, and cards that let you strategically pass off work to your coworkers, or cause you to loose or add work.
Play becomes more and more stressful as the hand continues and your chance of getting caught dicking off or getting stuck with countless hours of bureaucratic work increases. The hand ends when a worker draws a time card. The player with the least number of bureaucratic work hours recorded on their weekly time sheet is declared the winner!

Government Worker was created by [Redacted Name A], [Redacted Name B], and their designer friend [Redacted Name C].
[Redacted Name A] and [Redacted Name B] have a lot of experience dealing with federal, state, and local government bureaucracy. On one particularly frustrating day [Redacted Name A] remarked that they should start documenting their hysterical experiences dealing with public service bureaucratic craziness. So that's exactly what they did.
[Redacted Name A] and [Redacted Name B] started a journal as a humorous document to be enjoyed by their grandkids someday around a campfire. The journal quickly grew - became bloated if you will. Over time, the journal morphed into a card game concept. Countless hours were spent developing game concepts and rules. Next they tried to draw up the graphics and visuals for the game. Crying, and feeling dejected by their obvious lack of creative flair, they asked their designer friend [Redacted Name C] to help them visualize the various game components.
Our game perfectly balances [Redacted Name A] and [Redacted Name B's] work experiences and game play knowledge with [Redacted Name C's] design and print experience.
But aren't you making fun of public service?
We are well aware that public servants all over our great country perform vital, sometimes lifesaving work, every day. Without them, many of the systems we enjoy daily simply stop functioning. We appreciate their efforts, have witnessed them first hand, and have all taken part in important government work ourselves.
However, if you spend one day in a government office, at any level, you quickly realize that the processes required to get real work done are freaking bonkers. This insanity of processes can cause workers to lose their minds, give up and spend all day dicking off, OR as so many do - heroically plow through the red tape.
In a nutshell, we "heart" government workers.
Regardless of your sensitivities, everyone must agree that there is no system riper for satire than government bureaucracy. We could not avoid this truth and ask that everyone sit down with friends, put on their sense of humor hats, have one or twelve drinks and enjoy a hysterical round of Government Worker.

Risks and challenges
Card games are rather low risk ventures. Our hilarious cards and slick packaging designs are complete and ready to print. We have carefully down-selected to a printer who we are confident will deliver an on-time quality product no matter how many decks we order. We also have spent a lot of time getting smart on shipping and distribution and again have down-selected to a logistics company who will ensure our success. We have simplified our rewards tiers and shipping options, with production and distribution in mind, to ensure that we can get our product to everyone as quickly as possible. We can’t wait to share the joy of bureaucratic government work!
