We spend a third of our life sleeping, which means we spend a third of our life in bed. It is important to our skin, hair, and overall well-being that we keep places such as our bed fresh and clean.There are all sorts of bad things lurking in comforters, in pillowcases and in pillows that are not properly cleaned - things that threaten our health, but we cannot see. Dead Skin Cells, Oils, Sweat, Food Crumbs, Dust Mites, and other nasty stuff.
Studies suggest that you should wash your bedding every week, but most people barely wash their bedding once a month.
And what about Pillows? Have you ever washed your pillow?
Pillows can harbor mold, yeast and bacteria, which can cause acne, diarrhea, asthma and bronchitis. If you have never washed your pillow, you may want to consider throwing it away and getting a new one.

Silver and Plant Fiber protect SilverBorn comforters, pillows, and pillowcases better than cotton, soy or bamboo - even better than cotton combined with silver. Our Plant fiber has several inherent properties that will NOT diminish after repeated washing or over time. We took an already exceptional fiber, and added silver to it, to make it the best possible product available.
Unlike other silver embedded fabric, the silver we use does not chemically react with the fabric. It does not change the nature, color, feel, or any other properties the fabulous soft plant fiber.
Our silver provides antimicrobial protection to the fabric, resists mold and mildew, and further reduces odor buildup. Our fabric was put through rigorous wash and antimicrobial tests to ensure that bacteria growth on our products was still being reduced by 99.9%, even after 100 washes. California King Comforter:
The average or standard comforter sizing is as follows:
Some manufacturers either add a few extra inches or shave inches off of these "standard" sizes. We have decided to add more to our comforters.
Regarding King and a California King comforter, they are actually similar dimensions, but on the opposite sides. A King bed is wider and shorter in length, while a California King is narrower and longer. So you could easily use our King size comforter on your California King bed by turning it sideways.
Fitted Crib Sheet: Our fitted crib sheet keeps your baby dry by wicking moisture away. Our sheet promotes long lasting freshness, while still being soft and comfortable. It fits all US standard crib and toddler mattresses and has an elastic around the edges for a snug fit. Dimensions are 52 in Long x 28 in Wide x 9 in High.
Colors: We currently are offering green with SilverBorn print for toddler bedding and white with no print for adult bedding. Our Toddler/Travel Pillow is available in white or green with SilverBorn print.

Antimicrobial Efficacy: Based on the testing performed by a 3rd party test lab, even after repeated laundering, the silver ions in the SilverBorn samples protected the fabric from harmful microbes.

We have taken necessary steps to ensure efficient and timely delivery of the highest quality rewards. With backgrounds in e-commerce, business analysis, and quality assurance, we believe our project will exceed your expectations. Despite our expertise and careful planning, there are risks to the project. We have identified and outlined the following key risks to our project below:
Risk due to manufacturers and suppliers. We have good relationships with our suppliers and manufacturers and will be working closely with our manufacturing partners to ensure the highest quality standards for our backers and on-time deliveries. We will also working on-site with them as needed. However, it is possible that our project gets delayed due to problems that are unforeseeable and beyond reasonable control.
Risk during Quality Control. Quality is priority for us. Production will occur as fast as possible, however, we hold our manufacturers to the highest quality standards.
Throughout the production process, we will keep our backers informed of project milestones. If we encounter setbacks that affect our timeline, we will maintain transparency through backer updates.

When our campaign is complete, then we will send out surveys to backers to collect information about the add-ons you would like, in addition to confirming your shipping information.

As an example if you wished to purchase 2 toddler pillows, you would pledge $60 and select the $30 My First SilverBorn Pillow reward. We would send a survey to you after the campaign is over, and you would tell us you would like the extra $30 dollars to go towards the second pillow.

If we add more colors our production minimums would increase. So currently we are only focusing on white and green. That said, we plan to offer a new color if we are able to meet our stretch goal of 200K. However, the delivery date of these new colors could be delayed by 1 or more months.

SilverBorn comforters and pillows contain 100% Plant fiber filling. The plant fiber filling is hypoallergenic and repels odors. We are using the same plant fibers that make up the fabric, so the filling dries quickly as well!
We have created a medium-density pillow that is suitable for back sleepers, side sleepers, stomach sleepers, and those who shift sleeping positions through the night. Excellent thermal regulation properties will ensure the sleeper’s face does not get too warm, which is a major problem if you don’t like to toss and turn in the middle of the night.
One of the main differences is our plant fiber is not made from oil, or uses oil in its creation. Polyester (PET), for example is a plastic, which is created from crude oil.
Second, when compared to Bamboo and Soy, Silverborn's plant fiber will shrink less, dry faster, and wick moisture better.
When compared to cotton, SilverBorn's plant fiber is stronger, shrinks less, and is much more resistant to deterioration from UV rays.

SilverBorn is super easy to care for. Although our fabric helps keep bacteria from swarming your bedding, dust and other debris can sometimes accumulate. We recommend washing every 10-14 days with your normal laundry. Wash it on a cool or warm cycle, and tumble dry on low heat or hang to dry. Do not use chlorine bleach. We do not recommend iron.
