This Kickstarter is to fund themed poker chips by Custom RPG. Our first set will feature 6 fantasy-themed monsters. As we receive backing and interest, we're hoping to bring back our artist to create new sets - perhaps, sci-fi, fantasy races, "epic" characters, objects, etc. Backers will have a chance to vote on what, if anything, we add to the collection.
The chips are 1.5 inches in diameter and 1/8 inch thick. The image side of each chip is laser engraved with a fantasy monster commissioned specifically for this project, and the tails have our logo and the denomination of the chip.
At the base funding level backers will have the option of getting their chips in gold, silver, or copper finishes, or they can get a mixed set at displayed above.
We should be able to produce and ship RP Chips at our base funding levels within 30 days after our completion date. As we reach stretch goals and need to work with others' schedules, however, there may be delays, hence the December delivery date for most products.
Risks and challenges
Any Kickstarter with physical components comes with accompanying risk. In order to achieve our goals, we need to ship enough product to drive costs down. We're hoping that backers will pledge more than the minimal requirements, as it will allow us to introduce additional (awesome) stretch goals sooner.
In order to keep this Kickstarter within reach, we're limiting sales to the US only. Shipping this product internationally in small amounts just doesn't make sense.
