About this project
Alpha Glide is a 3rd person, single player, story driven 3D RPG with an ATB system. The game has all of the traditional elements that an RPG consists of such as interacting with NPCs, looting treasure chests / boxes for items and gold, solving puzzles, purchasing weapons and items from merchants etc. Alpha Glide will also incorporate some unique game play mechanics that will make it even more fun to play.
Some of the core features and mechanics:
-- Fight battles without any scene switching or loading rather you are exploring the world map, towns or dungeons.
-- Interact with many different NPC's of different types such as humans, creatures and androids
-- Use your robot companion known as "Ro-Bert" and new party members that you meet in the game world to aid you in combat and help you throughout your adventure.
-- Equip yourself with a wide variety of weapons from plasma rifles, landmines, electrical shock baton, spawn-able turrets, grenade launchers etc.
-- Summon mechs to help you fight fierce bosses and enemy's in dangerous parts of the game world.
-- Much much more!
Alpha Glide tells the story of two nations, one is consisted of people who are naturalists and the other is more industrialized and each nation uses robots and technology for different reasons. These nations are at war based on their ideals with our main character Adam being caught in the middle of their conflict. One morning Adam wakes up to his town being invaded by the armed forces of the opposing nation, and this is the moment where his life is changed forever.
I came up with the story and design for this game after brainstorming about some of the things that I love most about all the RPG's that I have played throughout the years. Since I love American and JRPG's alike, I want to create an RPG game that borrows ideas from both the east and the west in conjunction with my art and designs. I am equally in love with fantasy worlds as well as science fiction and my love for these settings have also influenced the design of Alpha Glides world.
As you travel throughout the game world, you will notice certain parts of the world are more technologically advanced than others. The citizens of certain towns dress in more expensive attire, the homes will consist of more modern appliances and gadgets and of course weapons and armor will cost more gold, etc.
-- Alpha Glide is an ambitious game which requires time, focus, community backing and support in order for it to be fully realized.
-- I would like to get the help of skilled developers in order to speed up the development time and get the game out to the community quicker.
-- In order to put Alpha Glide on the PS3 / PS4 as well as other platforms I will need to register an LLC which takes money and lots of boring paperwork.
-- Tweaking and improving: Getting testers and community feedback to help me produce an amazing RPG in every aspect.
The core mechanics of the games battle system, chat system and exploration are in place. I have a lot of features that I would love to implement into the game given the appropriate funding and support. I believe each stretch goal for Alpha Glide will compliment the previous and expand this game into what it really needs to be in order to truly shine.

I wanted to keep the rewards for Alpha Glide nice and simple. I believe that a polished game with great design and that is fun to play is the ultimate reward for the backers and community.
Kevin Tillman is 29 and loves making video games just as much as he loves playing them. He went to school for 3D animation and is self taught in computer programming and art. Aside from playing games he loves to watch movies, workout and hang out with his family.

Risks and challenges
In dept prototype documentation was written for Alpha Glide before any of the programming, art or animations were attempted. This has allowed me to achieve good results in its implementation and functionality in a timely manner.
Passion, dedication and perseverance and simply the love for what I do are the things that have kept me going. I have overcome a lot of personal life challenges in order to bring myself to where I am today and I hope that the community sticks with me and supports me.
