YOU DID IT!! YOU MADE IT HAPPEN!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
"The Book of Oded, Chapter 2" started about 5 years ago when I was working as an animator for Image Movers Digital. At that time I was meeting with Jamie Greene, the Off-The-Couch coach. After hearing that I was missing a creative outlet in my life, Jamie suggested writing and the first few pages of my story were written.
Almost 4 years later, in an acting class at LifeBook Acting, run by Allen Levin, I brought some of that material and performed it in front of the class. The response was so positive and encouraging ,that I immediately got back to the writing and completed what now is a one-man-show.
With the help of Yafit Josephson, a fellow actress and performer/co-writer/co-producer of the critically acclaimed One-Woman Show "NEW EYES", I was introduced to Sammie Wayne, IV. An award winning director that came on board and took the writing to a whole new level.
My life partner, Oscar Ibarra, asked to join as the producer, and the dream team was formed.
Eight workshop shows later, almost 300 people have seen the show, and the reviews were raving:
- "I laughed, and cried... And left feeling inspired and moved by the openness and honesty of the show."
- "Congrats to Oded! What a great show! I highly recommend EVERYONE go see this amazing show! You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll leave feeling jubilant!"
- "What a fabulous performance & story. You touched my heart!"
As we passed the 50% in funding our campaign and the goal seems closer than ever, I'd like to THANK: Daniel Camp Socorrow Ibarra Matt Murphy Eugene Nova Mosh Bar Joleen Nordstrom Forrest Curran Runjeev Ignatius Chuli Joy You are making it happen!!!!! www.HelpTheBookOfOded.com

After high-school he took a break from acting to work and master the art of DJ'ing where he produced and collaborated in several music tracks. Recently Oscar decided to take on the world of Film and TV working behind the scenes taking on various roles, from production assistant to location manager. Oscar A. Ibarra has recently written a short film Called "My name is David" which he will be producing and directing, due out at the end of 2014.
And so, encouraged by the amazing response, we decided to bring the show to a full production run of 6 weeks and 18 shows, at the Working Stage Theatre in Hollywood, which is why we need your help with the production costs.

Risks and challenges
There are two main challenges with this production:
1. We want to make the most professional presentation which includes stage design, lighting, audio and direction.
2. We want to get the word out there thru promotion so that the theatre is full each and every show with theatre loving audience, ready to be inspired and entertained.
I know that with your generous help we can bring this show to many more people and inspire them with this story of coming out, relationships, dealing with inner-demons, and finding love in the most unlikely of places.
The main pillars of the show are Mortality, Acceptance and Love which are universal and can touch each and every one wherever they are.
Thank you! TODA RABA! Gracias!
