We are a married couple who are passionate about the whole art of coffee. Our dream is to open up a specialty coffee shop and roastery in San Diego, CA.
Coffee is a learning experience and we want to be able to provide a place to share our passion and for people to be able to learn about coffee. We're going to be offering workshops and classes on home brewing, espresso, milk steaming and latte art. As well as free cuppings and coffee tastings. We really want to engage in the community and give back a piece of our passion and love for coffee as a whole.
We're in the process of talking to landlords about finalizing a brick and mortar location for our shop. With the help of a few investors we have been able to purchase a Quest M3 sample roaster, a La Marzocco espresso machine, as well as a larger and more sustainable coffee roaster.
With your help of raising $15,000 we would be able to put down the deposit on a location and begin our build out.
The funds would also go towards us building a little coffee stand/kiosk that would go at the front of the store. The kiosk will be up and running later this year while the build out is being completed. This will allow us to get to know people in the neighborhood and provide a sustainable income until our shop is completed.
San Francisco toast is one of our favorite things, and it's the best with a great cup of coffee! We're using some delicious bread from a local bakery and smothering it with cinnamon sugar goodness. We're so excited to bring one of our favorite treats down to San Diego and share it with all you wonderful people!
A huge shout out and thanks to Joel Bear Studios for the photography! Augies Coffee House for letting us use their roasting facility for our video! Gaby Lasala, Madison Sharp and Heidi Lusko for filming our video! And thank you to everyone supporting us!

Risks and challenges
We will be facing challenges with getting all the permits and licensing we need for the kiosk and the final build out of our location. We will need to get financing and investments to be able to get our shop up to code.
Time will also be a challenge, because It could take a long time to get everything approved and licensed. This kickstarter will really help us begin that process by funding the kiosk which will sustain us while we're getting our shop ready to open.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
