The Hip-Hop Fellow Trailer:

Picture Locked w/ a New Title!

Dear Backers -

After many months of editing, The Harvard Fellow is now picture locked and currently receiving its sound mix and coloring pass. Its run time is 78 minutes (the same length as The Wonder Year) and I’m really proud of the final film.

A couple of important details:

1) The name of the film has been changed from The Harvard Fellow to THE HIPHOP FELLOW. Our website / Twitter / Facebook have all been updated to reflect this change. After viewing the final edit, 9th and I feel its a better match for the scope and goals of the film.

2) Things will be pretty quiet for the next few months as we cut a trailer, lock in sponsors and submit to some quickly approaching film festival deadlines (SXSW, Tribeca, Full Frame) Look for a new website, official trailer, tons of outtake videos and more at the top of 2014.

Attached is a photo of the final edit timeline. This is what 18 months of work and your contributions created. Thanks again and get ready for 2014! - Kenneth

The Harvard Fellow 6 Months Deep Update!

Dear Harvard Fellow Backers!

It's been an exciting 6 months of production on the film. 9th and I have been going back and forth from Raleigh to Cambridge and have amassed some amazing footage. There have been interviews conducted with Kendrick Lamar, Ab Soul, Phonte, Dr. Mark Anthony Neal, Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Young Guru.

The coming 6 months will consist of three more interviews with DJ Premier, Pete Rock and Dr. Marcyliena Morgan as well as additional unconfirmed artists and experts. The goal is to have principal photography competed in June with a rough edit completed in late August. Thanks again for all the support! Best - Kenneth
