The key aspect of film making is gathering the right cast and crew members to fulfill the vision of the film. We have searched and found the actors that fit the characters of the script. We have also done test shots to ensure that our actors are suitable to carry the roles they have been cast. Each role has turned out to be perfect for the actors, due to their training and the experiences from their own lives which they bring to the story.
Accompanied by the narrative visual, the scores we have chosen for this film contains a range of orchestral, rock and electronic elements as well as modern / new age music, which will help create a dramatic mood.
The equipment we want to use is industry standard. Why do we want to use this? Because we want to ensure that we get the best possible quality of image / visuals, allowing us the ability to recreate everything that we have envisioned this film to be. We will need rig equipment, lighting and most of all a high resolution camera to hire for 2-3 months for the making of this film.
List of Equipments we want to use for this projects are:
RED MX Cinema Camera rig set
Adobe Premiere Pro
Adobe After Effects
Tascam Professional Field Recorder
HMI Par Light w/ballast
and much more.
The main role of the Director of Photography for "3 Roads", is to make the project visually appealing to the viewer. To capture the audience through the visuals presented. Cinematography is not just looking through a camera and shooting a picture. It requires a keen eye and a creative imagination. It requires knowledge of chemistry and physics, precise sensory perception and a strict focus on details.
To achieve the look we are wanting for the film, we will require the right equipment for the specific shots needed. Framing, composition, lighting and camera movement etc is key to telling the story on screen.
The funds we get from you will go towards equipment hireage, sound mixing, censorship, private screenings, Backers rewards, permits/location hire, festival promotions and festival circuit fees.
Our experience as films
makers comes from making music videos, commercials, and short films. Corey and Richard have been making videos
since 2008 and now want to deliver a much bigger project to audiences. Corey and Richard were both filming a long
time before 2008 and between them have worked on TVC’s and various film/TV
productions, gaining experience and knowledge in the industry. Corey's influences include Michael Gondry and
David Lynch, whilst Richard's influences include Stanley Kubrick and Federico
Fellini. This gives Corey and Richard a
widely diverse storytelling ability which they bring to this film.
Coreys interest in film started at a very young age. In his younger days he was interested in documenting the life and antics of his family, friends and the world around him. He picked up the family camera and started making short films using family and friends with a particular interest in skateboarding and stunts. Since then he has followed his love for directing and editing, moving into genres that have influenced and affected him. He progressed into working on various TV productions, music videos and has filmed many other forms of media. Corey went on to win audience favorite at the Big Mountain shorts in 2008, and has worked with artists such as Blindspott, Laybaq, Watercolors and many other established and up and coming New Zealand bands / artists. With influences from Michel Gondry to David lynch he creates the most unique videos he can within the available budget, and strives to make his own personal mark in the film industry and to stand out from the rest.
Richard Allan Litt
Richard got hold of a camera at the early age of ten, his enthusiasm from then on began to expand.
He experimented with angles, lights and colours to determine the boundaries of exposure and composition.
After finishing film school and completing a photography course he devoted himself to his passion.
His goal is to express the aesthetic visual into a story. He also enjoys the writing and editing aspects of film,
and has worked on various music videos alongside Corey as well as working in short films and different TV series
such as Spartacus and Power Rangers. His experience within the film industry, both in front of and behind the camera
have given a unique insight into all aspects of film. With his devotion to his passion for film he has become
increasingly driven and become more dedicated to his goal.
Iliesa Ravudi grew up in Onehunga, Auckland and was the eldest boy in a family with 6 siblings. This helped to shape his competitive nature and his drive to excel above the rest. His hobbies are acting, Sports, Music, and Dance, with Acting being his biggest passion in life. His love for sports lead to his career getting cut short, Junior had an injury that left him with 9 screws and a plate in his ankle and fibula bone, he was advised to not take part in any further sports.
After a long recovery and a lot of patience, Junior was propelled to pursue his other passion, acting. Junior took part in his school production and found he had a natural flare, his love for performance art grew and now he wishes to develop his skills further.
Deseret Farao was raised in a family of seven, at the early age of 5 he already had a strong interest in singing and dancing in front of audiences, it was from then that an interest was sparked and he decided to pursue and develop his talent in the performance arts industry.
At the age of 16 he worked for Visage Models featuring in Farmers promotions and went on to work as a touring hip hop dancer for a year in Australia. After touring finished he decided it was time for him to return home. He pursued his love for acting and enrolled in the study of performance art.
Fiti Junior Leota
Born and raised in South Auckland, Fiti was a student at TWOA institute and graduated in On Screen and Stage Performance Arts. “The reason why I love acting is because the rewards outweigh the hardships. You work with great people and there is something thrilling about the work itself. You get to observe peoples feeling and shortcoming which is really what makes us interesting”.

Risks and challenges
There is always a risk of making a feature film. Its all about meeting deadlines. With excellent production plan we will make sure that our project pulls through, no matter what happens.
This will be covered by the insurance from the equipment hire company.
Cast and Crew Accident or Sickness?
Our cast and crew are highly professional. They know how follow production protocols and health and safety is of utmost importance to us.
Concern on whether the Film will make it to the festival?
There are hundreds of Film festivals around the world and we cant guarantee that our film can make it to all of them. However, there are online mediums that our project can make it into, and we can update you on which these will be upon completion of the film. To get updates on the finished project you can 'Like' us on www.facebook.com/3roads . This will ensure you receive updates on the feature films progress, venues, premieres, private screenings, etc.
We have put a large amount of work into preparing the production of this film and with your help we can and will make this happen. Our goal is to make this film within the budget pledged, and to make this film the best it can be. We are not here to make a "Lord of the Rings" or "The Hobbit" but we are absolutely certain that we will make this film stand up against its counterparts and be festival / cinema ready upon completion. We will push our creativity and our own boundaries to get the best out of not only ourselves, but all cast and crew working on this project. That to us, is what the spirit of film making is all about.
