Welcome to my next Kickstarter campaign.
In this campaign I would like to take you again into the Word War 2.
All of my old followers know, how much stuff we have in the former 3 Campaigns. Now with this campaign I will try a new way.
Lets insert figures. Because there is much stuff of figures in action on market, my attention will focus on the quieter scenes of war. What the soldiers did in the main thing. March and - if they were lucky resting. So i will show you scenes that are distributed in the market by different manufacturers and scales, but not massive in a very large series of figures from a single manufacturer. Here we have a character style throughout.
Let me say something about the figure style. I do not want to make squat wargame figures. My figures should have proportions as realistic as possible. Of course, some things have to be modified, such as lightly bigger heads and hands. In particular the weapons must be adapted. They are a bit thicker, because of the printability, but are largely in proportion to the original ones.
An important question for you. "Can I print these figures on an FDM printer" ?.
Yes and no.
As you know, there are sizes that a FDM printer is not able to print. For example the gun barrel scale 28mm. This will not be able to print on the FDM. If I wanted to make it printable, the gun would be so thick again, that they look bad. I just do not want that. Even helmet edges and small parts on the soldier will be difficult to print.
My thought here is a completely different one. I know many of you already have a DLP printer for resin as a second printer. I think that if you want to make the most of your hobby, you will not be able to get around a resin printer. And - hey - look at the prices. Resin printers cost less today, than FDM printers did, not long ago.
I'm sure you'll have a resin printer in no time, believe me. Then it would be nice if you already have figure sets and can start immediately with the printing for the figure collection. And that's why I offer you here your characters, which you can then use.
All the figures shown in this campaign were printed with the inexpensive Anycubic Photon. Set layer height 0.032 mm.
If this campaign is now successful and we get many backers, I promise you, to expand series in the future. This will not be limited to World War II. So, let us all be surprised how successful a figure campaign can be.
During our Campaign - as in past - with higher stretchgoals we will raise the camapign with a number of items and figures.
The initial modelling scale is 20/22mm.
But the files are optimized to upscale them to 28mm.
For 15mm figures, I take no guarantee. It will work (only on an resin printer). But because I have real proportions, then hands may not be printed. That depends on your printer and your skill in positioning and print-support-settings.
28mm = 127% (1.27 in Cura)
15mm = 73% (0.73 in Cura)
If you game in "Heroe scale", (ca.32mm) scale up to146%.
We recommend DLP/SLA printers for the figures , for accessories and buildings as always FDM printer.
Support this campaign and bring it to success as the last Campaigns, for which I thank the backers again...
For all new Backers, take a look to my former Campaigns. With bundle backing you can get the former campaigns to original price !
Hope I will see my "Grognards" from my Campaigns before and welcome new backers..... My old backers know, during campaign I hear your wishes and many addons come during campaigns. So don´t wonder if you see no drawings for higher stretchgoals in the starting phase of this campaign. Stretchgaols can change on request from backers !! Typical German workers' house in an industrial region, as happens in working class settlements. Very good use in the Ruhr area. This type of house can be used from about 1890 until today. The house comes in 2 variants. Smooth as a plastered version and with slight cracks.
