We are raising funds to create a permanent gallery in Boston, to promote local and national artists and begin to build a conversation with the greater spectrum of emerging art and technology scene as a whole. Glitch Gallery is built inside a thriving community of private multimedia artist studios, shared by designers, videographers, and technophiles. We have been working on the space installing directional track lighting, spackling, painting walls, redoing floors, building walls, flameproofing, embedding sound systems and installing a permanent HD projection area. We need you help for the completion and execution of this project. You can help expand Boston’s emerging arts scene by participating in the arts experience at Glitch Gallery. Funds will be used for the exhibitions and art installations in the Glitch Gallery and more specifically for the events to cover the costs of supplies, gallery construction, legal counsel, liability insurance and other opening costs. Exhibitions will be held every other month featuring a new selected artist/s, which will be free to those who become members. Your donations will help solidify a beautiful space to showcase artists and funding of all future exhibitions.
Private membership will become available to be able to attend all Glitch Gallery openings for free. Members can also come to create, or share their knowledge with the community in creative workshops. Fun things we have already held in our space that future members will have access to: technology workshops, art classes, acroyoga, video screenings, installations, lecture on programming and other creative morsels. We look forward to sharing our utopia with the greater world and seek your help with making it a reality.
Glitch Gallery is opening THIS JUNE.
Risks and challenges
We are determined to do this. Actually, we are only a few weeks from our first opening. It's in our nature to be creative and share with others. We just need a little bit of your help - to make it feel really worth it, really wanted and appreciated - by the Boston community and the world at large. Art is worth sharing.
The residents have already spent countless hours to improve the quality of the space for the experience of viewers. So if you like what we are doing please give what you can. Remember if we don't make our goal we don't get anything. Once we reach our goal of $6,000 don’t stop donating because higher budgets will give us the ability to produce quality exhibitions.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
