Due to impact on the cervix and surrounding muscle tissue, conditions like endometriosis, bladder complications, postnatal prolapse, or even "mechanical" (anatomical) fit, etc can contribute to discomfort during and/or after penetrative sex. Even stress from a previous trauma can also activate physical distress.
It takes an average of 6-7 years to get a diagnosis (if any), and solution options are often invasive, prohibitively expensive, or non-existent.
Risks and challenges
Ohnut is not a medical device and is not intended to cure existing medical or physiological conditions, but can be used as a tool to be incorporated as a part of a multidisciplinary approach to pelvic and sexual health. Please consult your doctor if you experience painful sex.
Ohnut has been tested by individuals across the US, endorsed by pelvic health specialists, and is designed with all bodies in mind.
We've been working around the clock to get Ohnut into your hands and plan on delivering the wearable to you in October 2018. We have engineering and manufacturing experts to mitigate risks. However, in the case that an issue arises, we will work with our team to maintain our planned delivery date.
Throughout this journey, we will provide updates to you so you are fully aware of the process moving through manufacturing to Ohnut landing at your door.
