Stretch Goal UPDATE: $650 more to $11,650!
Thank you so much! With 100 backers and counting, you all helped us make it to our initial goal of $10,000. These funds raised, however, are are just the first step to purchasing computers, and opening our doors.
Final 12 Hours!
There are 12 hours left in the campaign and we still need your help! Our stretch goal is $11,650 or an extra $650.
$650 equals: 1 more computer for our future, 1 more person that can job search, 1 more student who can play a game, 1 more explorer who can innovate and create, and 1 more way to LEVEL the playing field.
$10,000 will help us purchase computers and equipment for our pilot internet cafe in Chicago's Back of the Yards neighborhood.
$10,000 = new computers
Through internet cafes, LEVEL aims to provide affordable computer and internet access to underserved Chicago communities. $10,000 will furnish our pilot café in Chicago’s Back of the Yards neighborhood.
LEVEL's store will be completely automated
LEVEL will evolve with new technology. We have the latest computer monitoring systems to create a fully automated, interactive computer center.
Access + Knowledge + Skills = Change
The internet café will double as a classroom, where we’ll host regular workshops on computer programing and website design to improve locals’ technological literacy and job prospects. We will also work with local schools and small businesses.
Let's make learning and innovation fun again. Children from low income neighborhoods are most at risk to fall behind in this new global internet age. LEVEL will take on the challenge to close this digital gap. Each LEVEL store will be individually tailored to the community it serves.
Join us now! Once our goal is met, we will make preparations for opening our first storefront in August 2014. With your generous contribution we will be able to purchase computers and be closer to opening our doors!
Please join us and make this dream a reality!
