We need your support now more than ever. As you know, Lovebettie has been nonstop touring and working ourselves to the bone for the past two years. We have grinded endlessly without pause to drive the band into the national spotlight, and we have had some pretty big breaks along the way. But it is time to work that hard on a new record. It’s time to put that kind of effort into the music, and create a record that is the best possible quality that we can create. For ourselves, and most importantly for you, the people that support us.
The band has already begun recording at Crushtone Studios with famed producer Jim Wirt who is most known for his work with Incubus, Fiona Apple, Live, and Jack’s Mannequin. We have been working around the clock tracking and working on the new material (a secret sample of which you can find at the end of the Kickstarter video above). Your donations go towards finishing up recording and pressing the CD. We are hoping to be able to release in March 2013. Please preorder the CD on the right side of the page, or donate whatever you can. There are a ton of awesome packages, and you can even get your name printed in the CD itself!
Aside from helping us finish the new record, your donations will help us purchase a new tour vehicle (our old one died a tragic death), and will also help us fund a new US tour in March that we have deemed the “Work Hard, Play Harder Tour”. We are very excited about this because there are SO MANY of you that we have met along our journeys on the road, and we would like to host a CD release party in each of our favorite cities with all of you.
We are shooting for the financial goal of $10,000 in 30 days. Your pledges will help us pay for recording, mixing, mastering, and pressing of the new CD, as well as a new tour vehicle and funding for a new US tour. Every dollar made over $10,000 will go towards a second US tour to cities we could not reach on March’s tour, and a possible 2nd CD release in 2013 if the campaign goes really well.
Thank you all so much, every one of you for all the endless love, kindness, and support that you have shown us over the past few years. And thank you for your continued support. We know that we have the best fans and friends ever, and it has been an absolute joy to play music for all of you. This is the next level in our musical journey. And without you, we cannot get there. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU!
Alexandra, C.T., Larry, and Dan – Lovebettie
PS) If you aren't familiar with our band and would like to donate, thank you very much! Lovebettie is a Pittsburgh based band and we play music that is known as Swagger Rock. You can ask some cool people about us and keep up with our ventures at www.lovebettie.com and www.facebook.com/lovebettie.
PSS) If you would like to purchase more than one package, you must setup a separate kickstarter account with a different email address.

Risks and challenges
With any project, there are risks involved. For instance, having our CD recorded in time to be ready for a March release could be an obstacle. However, this is the reason we began recording before we ever launched our Kickstarter campaign. Likewise, we have also begun booking the Work Hard, Play Harder Tour and will have the entire tour itinerary booked and solidified by the time this campaign ends. Hope to see you all on the road!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
