Our Goal:
It is our intention to produce a visually and emotionally-engaging web series that dashes the negative stereotypes associated with country music, country people and the web series medium in general. To achieve this, we must raise $15,000 to begin principal photography by September 4th. Keep in mind that Kickstarter is an all-or-nothing campaign, which means if we do not raise $15,000 by September, we do not receive anything. Though a risk, this ensures that if you back Big Country Blues, you are backing a fully funded project going into production. We believe in the Kickstarter philosophy, and we believe that with your help, we can create a fantastic web series... but we cannot do it without you. Please back our project and support Big Country Blues!

Synopsis:
Pulling a double shift at the local rail yard, providing for a destructive mother and burnout brother, performing music for friends around a campfire - just another Tuesday for Grayson 'Big Country' Ricker. But when his complicated but caring girlfriend and big-talking best friend try to convince Grayson to compete in a country music TV show, Grayson decides to leave that life behind to pursue his twang-filled dreams in Nashville. Together, the three friends embark on a journey through America’s Music City, and Grayson experiences the joy, betrayal, good times and the heartache that country music is all about.
Why a web series?
In today’s ever-evolving entertainment landscape, the web series medium is quickly becoming the most viable and viewable format to release content. More and more, filmmakers are turning to the Internet to release their series, shorts and sketches… and are reaching millions of viewers in the process. The web series has no boundaries, no rules, and no limitations on its creative or commercial potential.
