Help us get SWITCH to Edinburgh Fringe, 2019!
This wild story of Kings, Fools, Pirates and Ordinary Bedsheets, we are so proud that SWITCH WITCHETTY'S ALMANAC OF EVERYTHING will be performing at the Edinburgh Fringe this year!
In the hopes to bridge the gap between Sydney and Edinburgh, we are inviting you to be a part of bringing this folktale musical to life.
Therefore, as rewards for anything you're able to contribute, we're putting together a 'preview' performance of the show, as well as all sorts of other goodies to try and inspire some financial support from those of you out there that are willing to help us get this show on the road...and the air. And everything in between.
The Preview will be presented at the BRAND NEW: FLIGHT PATH THEATRE in Marrickville!
Details below, but basically - contribute to the crowdfunding, and you will select your timeslot when you choose your prize for the 5pm or 7pm show.
Show Consists of some short cabaret performances by guest artists
Followed by Switch Witchetty's Almanac of Everything
Total runtime 1 hour 15 mins, no interval.
Of course, if you can't make it along to the preview - there's heaps of other prizes to pick from, so check it out!
The Edinburgh Fringe is the world's largest arts festival. It is considered the ideal place to garner greater exposure and have our work be placed before industry attendees from across the globe. Some success stories include Stomp, Slava’s Snowshow and The Play That Goes Wrong. Obviously, we are so excited to be a part of it, performing once a day throughout August in Surgeon's Hall (yes, 11 months of the year it's a surgical museum), and cannot wait for the amazing opportunities to learn and develop our own skills, as well as presenting our work on the international stage.
Pinwheel Productions produced THE TALE OF ICHABOD SCRUBB back in 2017, and we wanted to recapture this quirky spirit we discovered in creating the folktale musical, and of course applying everything we've learnt since in shaping this new story of SWITCH WITCHETTY.
Thank you so much for your support - please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about the campaign, the show, or about Pinwheel Productions. We hope you enjoy everything we can share with you, and hope that with your support, there will be plenty more to follow.
"Pinwheel Productions aims to bring BIG adventures to life, using a little imagination and a lot of heart."

Risks and challenges
Taking a show to the Edinburgh Fringe is a BIG undertaking.
Particularly if you're based in Australia.
Here's some of the major expenses that this crowdfunding is directly contributing towards...
Venue Hire (Upwards of AUD $5000)
Flights (Upwards of AUD $5200)
Accommodation (Upwards of AUD $5000) (And we're staying in Glasgow to save pennies!)
Fringe Registrations (Approx $600 AUD)
...and that's just to allow us to put on a show.
Then we have to actually pay for costumes / props / commuting / insurances / marketing and publicity and all sorts of other things.
But for us - the rewards far outweigh the expenses. The opportunity to develop new works are few and far between, and the chance to present our work to an international audience is invaluable, and we are so excited to return to Australia with a polished show and a new wealth of knowledge that is impossible to compare.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
