Funding for this project was canceled by the project creator on June 10, 2013.
About this project
This is going to be an international based project so even though the pledge is in Great British pounds we still need everyone to pledge. This documentary could be filmed at a city near you and your funds will help determine how many cities we can get to.
This documentary is going to be our chance to bring awareness to the world about the issues and problems that we want to be fixed within the games & interactive entertainment industry, this gives a chance for the community to be heard. We have seen so many blogs, press releases and other content addressing one or two issues here and there, but now we want find out exactly what you think the top 5 problems in the gaming industry are on a global scale.
The way this film will work is after the 30 day funding period has been completed we can start the first stages. A survey with open questions will be available on our website to get an accurate response from you and everyone around the world. It is extremely important that we get a fair result so this will be open for 30 days. Once that is completed we will need time to calculate the results which will then be available as a top 10 list to then be published to the press. As mentioned already the top 5 will be addressed within the documentary and we will go to different cities around the world to get your thoughts on these matters in person. We also have space for an extra 2 topics to be added from the top 10 results which our higher pledges can vote on. The top 10 list will still be mentioned in the film but only 7 will get a full 10 minute time slot each.
This documentary is being made for all of the community and this is how non pledges can be involved as well:
1.Taking part in the international survey
(What do you want improved by 2014?)
2.Tweeting to @PGI14 #PGI14 @einfogames the one thing you want to see changed or improved in the games industry. (The most re tweeted will be added to the film)
3.Make a video Response to our Promo video.
(The best ones with the most reactions and comments will be added to the film & extras where you will then be credited on the final product, and even more videos will be added to the website and face book page.)
(You could start the tweets and video responses now, the earlier you do this the higher the chance of them being seen. Make sure you add to your title #PGI14 Response Video.)
The 2nd goal of this project is to give work experience and to help as many people as we can who want to work in the media industry. Everyone involved in production will be credited on the final product (you will get your name on IMDB), more information on this is shown on our kick starter rewards section for pledgers. This is our way of saying thank you to you and also because we want to make sure that this film is made by everyone.
The funding will be going towards the correct equipment, production costs and to help get us to the various cities where we will film with you.
Once we reach our funding goal you can still pledge because anything extra will go towards adding more cities to the dates so more people can be involved, we want to hear from as many people as possible.
We want to say a massive thank you to
and the kickstarter team for getting us this far. Now the rest is up to you!
Risks and challenges
This is an extremely sensitive topic and the whole production process is slightly complex, for this reason filming dates will be announced at least a month after goal is completed and the survey results have been completed. The way this documentary is being done is not something you see all the time, by filming with different people in different parts of the world will be a major risk to take and a big challenge.
But the risk is worth taking because we want to make sure as many people can be involved with the production process as possible. Since we are fully aware of this production risk more planning and consideration will go into these parts to make sure everything runs smoothly:
Travel, lodging and transportation is not included in any reward bundle.
You must be over 18 or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to attend Set/ filming location.
Some rewards may require additional paperwork (to protect us and you)Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
