Duh-Doodles started as a convention game called "I'd Done Drawn That!" we wrote down random geeky characters and objects on pieces of paper which people would pull out of a container at random.
From expert drawers to stick figure creations, people loved playing the game because it was geared to fandoms they loved.
We decided to rebrand the game and figure out a game play system that would make everything random, with multiple possible combinations. So we came up with the 3 card deck system.
The first deck, the Chumies (Or Chimi-Chums as our fans are called) give us a person, place, or thing. The second deck, The Verbulator, is our action card (kicking, licking, riding, eating, etc.) That leaves us with our last deck, the wild card. This is a random object/person, to toss a little bit more weirdness to the mix!
The Duh-Doodler will draw one card from each deck. They can place them in any order they like. They have one minute to draw what they drew from the deck. After the minute they must show the person/group, which then have a minute to guess what it is. The Duh-Doodler is not allowed to give them hints, but they can signal them if the person/group guesses one of the cards right. It's just that simple.
We are asking for start-up money to bring our prototype to life. This money will be used to make professional decks, boxes, and help pay for the rewards and delivery of the completed game.
Risks and challenges
Every project has challenges, but this one has minimal. We already have a print and play completed version of the game, ready to go. The only delays I could foresee would be delays in printing or manufacturing. We will keep everyone informed if any delays appear, so everyone can be well aware of any situations.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
