There’s a Game in this Book is a fully customizable, completely flexible, tabletop RPG. Within this book is everything you need to create any character you can think up, play any way you can conceive.
When we say any character, we do in fact mean just that: We’ve seen muscle-bound olive oil salesmen, dream demon assassins, and skeletons that fight with the power of the gods behind them. With the rules in this game you can make anything from a basic warrior all the way up to a spell-casting hand puppet, and everything in between.
With There’s a Game in this Book, you aren’t limited to the characters listed on the page. Heck, we don’t even want you to come at this book by reading the rules first -- rules just get in the way of you making the character you desire. When playing this game, create the character you want, the story of their life, and then fit the game system around your ideas, not the other way around.

The Ultimate First Edition
The 1.5 Edition of There’s a Game in this Book has reworked and expanded everything. Two more classes, double the Class Powers, double the Races (and even more variants on top). Skills, Attributes, Combat, and Magic have all been updated, revised, refined, and improved. It's everything you love (or will love) about the game, but even more!
Starting at $20 you can get a printed copy of the first book, or upgrade to $40 for both. You can also add on a year of expansions, a dice bag (with dice), a canvas tote, or go all out and get your books in color or even color hardcover. You could even make your own race that will be included in the game for people to play. Digital tiers are also available for gamers on a budget. Plus contributing at any level will get your name included on the title page for the book.

Risks and challenges
Both books are fully written and illustrated. We're in the process of doing test prints of the books and finishing up our final editing passes. Everything will be finished by the time the Kickstarter is over with. Our estimated ship date of May takes into account how long it will take for the Kickstarter money to clear (and become available to us to use), the print-and-ship time with our printers, and the shipping-and-handling time on our end once everything is in our hands. It’s an estimate, but one that shouldn’t slip too far (and, if we end up shaving time, we’ll happily ship the games out earlier than expected).
