UPDATE 12-26-2015: SCRATCHES IS FULLY FUNDED! LET'S TALK ABOUT STRETCH GOALS.
So SCRATCHES has reached it's Kickstarter goal. Thanks to your efforts, this book will be going out to places we could have never reached on our own, so from the four of us: thank you.
So what now? With 10 days left to go on this campaign, we could sit back and let the timer run out, or we could try to make the campaign bigger. How do we do that?
How about another book?
VOID is a 24-page standalone comic JSB has been putting together independent of this campaign. It's a strange, unnerving story of a man lost on an old country road. He'll be putting it up to read online for free on his website (www.thesimoncorporation.com) sometime early next year, but there will also be a print version available for sale. So how's this sound:
If we reach $2,600 by the end of this campaign, everyone who has donated $10 or more will get a signed, print copy of VOID on top of their other rewards.
Sound good? If we can make this campaign a little bit bigger, everyone gets a bonus book! Keep spreading the word!
We're launching this Kickstarter to help promote our upcoming comic, SCRATCHES and to ask for your support with the printing costs.
Cover art by Menton3.
SCRATCHES is a collection of four short horror stories written by JSB and illustrated by Leo Perez, Angel Onofre, Jon Michael Lennon, and JSB. The goal is for each story to have it's own unique visual interpretation with a singular narrative voice. The book is 32 pages. If this campaign is successful, we hope to make this a yearly anthology.
As independent comic creators, most of our promotion comes from word-of-mouth, selling our books at conventions, and encouraging our readers to share them with their friends. We feel this Kickstarter is an extension of that. We want to use this campaign to get the word out to our readers, make new readers, and get this book (and our bonus rewards) in as many hands as possible.
Did you say rewards?
Absolutely! In addition to the book itself, we're offering a wide variety of rewards for those of you who want to donate a little more.

About the creators.
JON MICHAEL LENNON
Jon Michael Lennon is a creator from suburban Chicago and the mastermind behind CheeseLord Comics. His work includes titles like PRODUCT OF SOCIETY, CYBORG DOLPHIN, and the upcoming CLIVE THE CLOWN. Jon has also contributed to projects across the nation and even overseas! In SCRATCHES, Jon gets to showcase his gritty and sometimes dark style in a chilling tale that you'll definitely love! Check out his stuff at http://jonmichaellennon.tumblr.com and on Instagram @jonmichaellennon
Leo Perez is a creator from Chicago specifically from the legendary Pilsen neighborhood of this great city. From the PRODUCT OF SOCIETY anthology to the EL TORO DORADO series, Leo loves to entertain the masses with sick humor, vibrant colors, and graffiti inspired artwork. Scratches is definitely a step outside of Leo's comfort zone but it was a blast to work on! You can find Leo's artwork here: https://leoperezart.wordpress.com/ and follow him on Instagram: @realleoperezart and Twitter: @realleoperez
Angel Onofre is a Chicago creator known for his gross-out and cartoony style reminiscent of 90's Nickelodeon cartoons but with his own unique twist. With Angel's debut comic book THE THING THAT CAME FROM OUTER SPACE OR SOMETHING!, contributor to THE LEGEND OF EL TORO DORADO and his annual Halloween sketch books under his belt, SCRATCHES is his next foray in the comics world. You can check out more of Angel's work here: www.angelonofre.com and follow him on Instagram @angelonofre
JSB is a comic creator that resides in Chicago and formerly from Parts Unknown. JSB is the writer/artist of WAYWARD, IT LOOKS BACK, and NOWHERE, published by The Simon Corporation. His haunting imagery and terrifying stories give his books a very specific type of scare to them. JSB was chosen to write all of the stories in SCRATCHES. Each story is self-contained but follows a unique horror formula and brings a sense of dread to the reader. You can find JSB here: www.thesimoncorporation.com
Risks and challenges
The art for the book is complete, so all we have to do get a proof from the printer, make any necessary edits, then get it printed and shipped. Those of you getting just the book should expect a fairly quick turnaround. Those of you who are getting custom art will be contacted directly from the artists once the funding period is over. From there, the artist will give you a personal ETA for your commission.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
