Hi friends!
Wow - we can't believe it's finally time to release the SPARK & The FIRE! We've been working on this record for a long time, from writing and playing the songs live to going into the studio to finally mixing, mastering and putting the artwork together. We are so proud of the result, and hope you'll love it too!
As you can imagine, making a record can be very expensive. Luckily, we've had a pretty good year with song placements and we were able to fund all the initial expenses on our own. The music is done, the artwork is done, and we've printed up the first batch of CDs and vinyl. Phew!
So why are we asking you for help? Well, making the music is just the first step! We are 100% independent, and don't have anyone helping us pay for marketing, radio promotion, publicity and touring. We want to release this record just like a label would, and it's important for us to try to spread these songs as wide as possible. Since we have already invested almost all of our funds on making the record, this is where you come in.
In exchange for cool offers and goodies (look to the right) we are asking for your hard-earned dollars (or easily earned ones too :). All proceeds will go towards our marketing and publicity budget, as well as help us get through our epic nationwide summer tour without running out of gas. :)
We set our goal at $10,000, though our costs are much much higher than that and there is always more we can be doing! So if we reach our goal, don't feel like you need to stop there - the sky is the limit!
We've partnered with KICKSTARTER.com for a fun and easy experience for all. The tricky part is if we dont reach our goal of $10,000 we wont get ANY of the funds.

Risks and challenges
SHIPPING TIMES:
The CDs will be ready to send out immediately when the campaign is over, given that we reach our goal on July 22nd. HOWEVER - Kickstarter will not ask for your shipping address right when you pledge. You will receive an email when the campaign is over asking for your mailing address. To avoid having that email go to your junk mail, please add Kickstarter.com to your safe domains in your email settings. We will mail out your CD as soon as we have your address!
The vinyl and Ukulele Chord Book take a bit longer to manufacture, so please expect delayed shipping for those items. We will message you as soon as we have a shipping date confirmed.
We will work with you directly to schedule Skype and live performances. We will be on tour for 6 weeks so please be patient while we try to work out the timing on everything!
