Betty Machete and the Angry Cougars started in Columbus, Ohio, when singer Betty Machete said to guitarist Fes that she wanted to be in a band. Before you could say "Ala Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches," Fes replied "Okay, you're in a band." It was just that magical! After acquiring Pat on second guitar, H-Bomb on drums, and Matt Reber on bass, the band (BMAC for short) started practicing, eating delicious ice cream, and playing shows.
In classic punk rock fashion, BMAC invested in buttons, embroidered patches, and a do-it-yourself t-shirt screenprinting machine before writing any songs. As a result, you - the Kickstarter community - are the beneficiary of all the righteous BMAC Rewards found in this project! As it turned out, having more t-shirt designs than actual songs was a drawback, so BMAC went out to the woodshed and wrote a dozen kick-butt songs, and recorded them at Columbus Discount Recording studio.
The BMAC piggybank being thusly depleted, we hope that you - again, the Kickstarter community - will assist us in our quest to actually press up BMAC's debut 7-inch double A-sided vinyl single - "Book Of Hate" and "Don't Call The Cops." Please join us in our Rock'n'Roll Odyssey!
