Do you like food?
We do.
This is Spork.
Spork is a food and dining magazine, fully produced by the students at Princeton High.
Every couple of months, a very talented team of young writers, photographers, artists, chefs, and designers collaborates to produce Spork. We print recipes, restaurant reviews, food photography, polls, and more. The magazine is available for free to all of Princeton High School.
Spork is in its first year. We’ve published two issues so far, and we’re aiming for two more this year and five next year. The feedback we’ve received has been incredible! Students, teachers and community members are enthralled by the magazine. Dozens have made the recipes we print.
We don’t get any funding from the school, so Spork is currently surviving on a small amount of profit from subscriptions and ads - which is whywe need your help! If we can’t raise enough money to print Spork, it simply won’t print. Where would Princeton get its share of bacon-wrapped, turtle-shaped hamburger recipes?!
If our Kickstarter campaign succeeds, we will use the funds primarily for printing the magazine, which costs nearly $400 per issue. That price doubles if we’d like to expand to more pages. A small portion of the funds would go to other expenses- ingredients for recipes, stamps for subscriptions, business cards, etc.
