      Hi Brian.
      Yes we can still send you messages even if the project is not funded and we can also send updates to let you know about the latest news.Regarding the website, you are absolutely right, I should have added an article earlier and changed the banner with the new project but since most of our publicity was conducted on Fb: https://www.facebook.com/cyclingboom and g+ https://plus.google.com/+Cyclingboom i just forgot to do it on the website as well.

      Will you still get information about backers even if the kickstarter does not succeed? I mean to contact us?
      Another thing I was wondering, you have a website, I would have expected some big banner or something linking to this project, but I did not see anything there? Why?

    6. WRD Systems 2-time creator on March 16, 2014

      @Jiansong
      Being realistic, this campaign is not going to be funded in the given time, means that no one would be charged for the pledges, however we would write you when the device is ready and you could buy the device directly from WRD website with the same price of Kickstarter. keep your 2k bike safe till then...

    7. Jiansong Bai on March 15, 2014

      What's your next step?

    8. WRD Systems 2-time creator on March 15, 2014

      @Brian,

      "Would it be possible to actually use the big battery or even the built in dynamo in the front wheel to charge the GPS?"

      You could use the dynamo to charge the system. All you would need is a 5V USB adapter like the one you use to charge a phone on a bike. There will be some wiring requirement of course. You might also lose some of the stealth the device has by having a wire going to the seat...

      Saw you update today, great news that you will still launch.

      I found your device to be better than the SpyBike, mostly due to the fact that SpyBike require a portal on their homepage. Even though it is free, If they ever go out of business you are out of luck.

      Another thing:
      I have an Electric Bike: http://www.bhbikes.com/web/es/easy-motion-ebikes/por-tecnologia/neo/neo-city-lite.html

      Would it be possible to actually use the big battery or even the built in dynamo in the front wheel to charge the GPS? Then it would charge while I use the bike. I don't really have an outlet where I park the bike at night.

    10. WRD Systems 2-time creator on March 13, 2014

      @Brian Levinsen

      No, we are definitely not connected to them. We differ in more than one aspect technically from their system, and patents won't be an issue.

    11. WRD Systems 2-time creator on March 13, 2014

      @Nicholas Hartzler,

      Yes, we have plenty of experience with electronics in harsh environments. The system will be waterproof and also condensation won't be an issue.

    12. WRD Systems 2-time creator on March 13, 2014

      @Jiansong Bai

      It will be fully waterproof.

      I been looking for something like this. But I was wondering, are you connected to another UK company called Integrated Trackers? They have a product called SpyBike, and they are planning on launching an almost identical device as this one? Could you get into patent trouble over this?

    14. Jiansong Bai on March 12, 2014

      Well, will it be waterproof? How about storm or rainy days? Will it damage the tracker?

    15. Nicholas Hartzler on March 11, 2014

      Just a though. It looks like the circuits are pretty exposed. I would think that in any humid or wet climate you would have a good bit of condensation build up inside the tubes. I know some bikes rust inside out. Have you considered this?

    16. WRD Systems 2-time creator on March 11, 2014

      @Jiansong, we are trying our best and we are very hopeful to take SHYSPY to the market one way or another.

    17. Jiansong Bai on March 10, 2014

      Will your project success? I'm looking for this a long time! I've planned to buy a $2k bike for a year but I'm afraid of stealing. Your product will help me! Please try your best!

    18. WRD Systems 2-time creator on March 10, 2014

      Thanks Eyeis. we are trying our best to fund this project one way or another. keeping our fingers crossed.

      This is such a great project! I need this for college I hope it gets funded!

      What is different between security kit and security screw kit ?

    22. WRD Systems 2-time creator on February 25, 2014

      @Josh, yes a USB charger coming from your hub dynamo can be used to charge the tracker battery.

    23. Missing avatar

      Josh Henry on February 25, 2014

      With the USB charging setup, is it the standard 5v charging rate? I have a front hub dynamo that powers a light or a USB charging box. Could you hook up a cable from the dynamo to the ShySpy while riding to recharge the battery?
      Great looking project. I'm happy to support this. Please do continue to work on the Bluetooth compatibility--that would be a terrific thing to include.

    24. Mohsen & Sepideh on February 21, 2014

      Awesome project! Good luck!

    25. Holger Biesen on February 21, 2014

      Thanks for your answers, sounds great. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

    26. WRD Systems 2-time creator on February 21, 2014

      @Holger

      - The activity tracker will be configurable through the application (mobile or desktop). We could have an option to use the motion sensor to activate it too (would there be an interest=)

      - They will be saved in different files. You can determine when an activity begins, and when it ends.

      - We're still thinking about how to do this one best . We have a few (implemented) options. Bluetooth is one, but that's only if we get the stretch goal funded. Another option would be directly from a micro SD card. We can make this accessible next to the USB port for instance. We looked into USB data transfer, but this would complicate things and make things a lot more expensive.

      We're having some other ideas in mind; we'll keep you posted as the project progresses.

    27. Holger Biesen on February 21, 2014

      I already pledged, but still have some questions:
      - How will the "Activity tracking" work? Will it be activated automatically everytime I move the bike(acceleration sensor)? Or will there be some kind of On/Off button?
      - How will the different activities be saved? Each activity in one file? How will the device determine when on activity is finished (see first question)?
      - How will I be able to extract the activity data tracked if no Bluetooth is available? Connecting something to the mini-USB and copying files?
      Thanks in advance and good luck!

    28. WRD Systems 2-time creator on February 17, 2014

      @Tammy,

      1) Waterproof rubber, in the same way you find USB ports on motorcycles.

      2) Yes, it has a sleep/standby feature. In standby mode, the tracker lasts for several days and you can find out where your bile is at any time. In sleep mode, a motion sensor will activate the device when e.g. being stolen. In this mode, the tracker can last for months (even years).

    29. Tammy Q on February 16, 2014

      Questions:-

      1. As the USB charging unit will be exposed under the saddle, how will you waterproof it?

      2. For the GPS unit, does it go into a sleep/standby mode when it is not being used to conserve battery when a "live" track is not needed? It would be good if it does, as that means if a bike is stolen over 24 hours, you can still identify it's location (in small data package similar to an SMS track) without draining the battery before you actually locate the bike!

      Good luck reaching your goals!

    30. WRD Systems 2-time creator on February 16, 2014

      @Osman,

      Yes, the GPS version will have a fall back mode in case GPS cannot establish a lock.

      Quick question for the GPS version will you use GSM triangulation if GPS signal is not available ( say in a parking under a building ) ?
