The “Zombienite” music video project is the brainchild of singer/songwriter Wesley Nelson. It is a “zombified” parody of the top 40’s hit, “Dynamite,” by Taio Cruz. It will be used as a marketing tool to promote the proliferation of zombie music, as well as to showcase the talents of the people involved. This project is volunteer-based and esp. seeks to involve art and film students who wish to build their portfolios. The project will take advantage of the explosion of the zombie genre, and Wesley hopes to continue making zombie parodies and music. We are planning to film the music video September 2012 in Salt Lake City, UT.
This will be a collaboration between the artistic and zombie-loving communities. Our goal is to produce an entertaining, high-quality music video that gives a nod to all our favorite pop culture zombie moments. We have many excited volunteers and great support from family and friends, but need a little cash to get this project finished. At our minimum goal of $1000, we can make an exceptional video, and every dollar more increases our ability make this video one-of-a-kind.
So, for all you zombies that are tired of the same ol' weekend, filled with endless shambling, moaning, and dodging headshots, we are creating some dance music for YOU! No longer do you have to be embarrassed by your stench, or the fact that you may only have one arm. You don't need to sneak into your walking buffet's dance clubs. Get some of your mortally-challenged friends together, take over a warehouse or dine at a fat camp, play this music, throw your hands (or hand) in the air and have your very own dance club!
We greatly appreciate any support! Please consider being a part of this soon-to-be phenomenon by making a donation.
