Reviews for Lazlo
"Brilliant and ballsy, The Bawdy Tales of Lazlo Cale definitely lives up to it’s name..." - Pipedream Comics
"...a fun and mischievous satire about futurism, sexuality, and beauty." - Rogues Portal

The Bawdy Tales of Lazlo Cale is a rollicking 48 page, mature readers sci-fi romp, created by Andrew Maxwell and Goran Gligović. If you're a fan of films like Ocean's 11 or The Thomas Crown Affair, and sci-fi in the vein of The Fifth Element, or Sex Criminals, then you'll love Lazlo.
This campaign is for issue one of a three part series, and is 100% complete. Our Kickstarter goal is to raise funds to print issue #1, with any additional funds going directly into the production of issue #2.
Disclaimer: Portions of this book contain graphic sexuality.
Domestic US shipping included on all tiers, international shipping is additional.
Following recent events, the city of Paris is now littered with inter-dimensional time portals.
Different species and technology from both past and future realities cohabit the city, becoming a hybrid of cultures and a world wide tourist attraction. While some may see this as chaotic and a threat to normalcy, others see it as the perfect moment to capitalize.
One such opportunist is Laszlo Cale, writer and high end art dealer. Unlike currency, or natural resources, art is a valued commodity regardless of time period or dimension.
As an ex-gigolo to high end and powerful clients, Laszlo has built a catalogue of contacts amongst the upper crust of society.
Politicians, the ridiculously rich, and celebrities a like.
Now retired, Lazlo has taken the art world by storm. He finally has the life he's always dreamed about.
But success is short lived, and Lazlo is given a sudden ultimatum. Paris's most notorious drug kingpin has been robbed of his prized painting, and it's up to Lazlo to get it back.
Or suffer the consequences...
Lazlo: Dashing rogue, art enthusiast, and narcissist... All hold true with Lazlo. His devil may care attitude may fool some, but to those that truly know him, know Lazlo is struggling. Moving on from the past has always proven difficult for him, and retreading old haunts and behaviors this time around may prove fatal.
Nico: Rarely on time, foul mouthed, and not at all interested in art and the "finer things". Nico is one of the few people that can put Lazlo in his place. Best friend and bodyguard, the two have quite a history. Although what she may lack in social skills and polish, she more than makes up for in loyalty and a right hook.
Emile: Father figure and adoptive parent to Lazlo, Emile only wants the best for him. Although as he's learned in the past, nothing is ever simple with Lazlo. Emile will have to decide to help Lazlo once again, or show some tough love and let him flail. Even if that has all too lasting consequences.
Inspector Malveaux: Tough as nails, and a constant thorn in Lazlo's side. Lazlo has always been one step ahead of the clever detective. That is until recently. With the criminal underworld close on Lazlo's heels, enemies may become allies if he wants to stay alive.
Lazlo's ex: Our mystery man, and Paris's most notorious gangster. Rumored to have been Lazlo's lover in the past, however, it is unclear how much is actually true.
Although one thing is undenieable. Those who double cross or disobey his wishes don't survive long...
