WHATS THE STORY?
This web series focuses on an underworked playwright, Mackenzie Barker, and her sociopathic co-worker Cassidy Fink. Together they sell high end clothing to the eccentric women of New York in a small boutique. Mack and Cassidy navigate questionable uncles, dreamy UPS guys, yeast infections and more in this 5 episode series that will have you laughing your ass off.
This series was created and written by Sarah Mack and Lauren Dortch-Crozier in an effort to take their careers into their own hands! These are two COMEDIC FEMALE VOICES that you want to hear!
SARAH MACK has been acting professionally for over 20 years. She was born and raised in Texas along with George W. Bush and grew up going to Rangers games just like George. In fact, there is little they don't have in common. Sarah has recently studied with John Gallagher, Reed Birney, and at UCB. She is also working on an all female improv team soon to hit NYC! www.SARAHMACK.net
LAUREN DORTCH-CROZIER is a self-proclaimed coffee addict with a love for all things comedy. A stage, voiceover and film actress, she spent last year with the acclaimed show 'Donkey Punch' as it moved from Midtown to Off-Broadway. She'd also like to fight Aubrey Plaza for the title of 'Queen of Deadpan'. www.LaurenDC.com
STUFF THAT COSTS
- Director of Photography
- Lighting equipment
- Licenses and permits
- Craft Services provided each day
All of that will take us right up to our very conservative budget of $5,900. However, every dollar past that goal we can definitely use!! None of this accommodates for a Director, Props, Art Department, pay for the actors!!! With additional funds we expand our locations, pay everyone involved, and hopefully add in an additional episode.
Risks and challenges
Our risks and challenges remain in the funding. We have a script we believe in, that we are currently sending out to widely respected producers in the comedy world. We have access to incredible actors. Our limitations are primarily financial right now.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
