About this project
"Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son."
Despite his hatred of a good time, we think both Dean Wormer and all the boys in Animal House's Delta frat would be fans of our show Behind Bars. We tour campus bars across the country learning their college traditions, games, and specialty drinks. We created the pilot a few years back and pitched it to the Travel Channel, who unfortunately passed.
In the years since, we've seen love for the project continually grow among proud drunks and prouder alumni, which is why we've turned to Kickstarter. The college experience doesn't belong to a TV network. It belongs to the alumni, which is who we're making this show for.
Behind Bars is going to be an incredibly fun, deeply personal, and even interactive experience for you, our all-important fan base. You're the ones who've made your college towns and bars great, so you should be instrumental in telling their story. Every dollar you give give us let's us make three more episodes. Our goal is for Behind Bars to recapture the 4, 5, or 6+ years you spent in your college town and spread that dedication, tradition, and love to everyone on the internet.

Risks and challenges
Will and John each have over 10 years of video experience. Our work has appeared on national television broadcasts, international film festivals, and award winning advertising campaigns. Through our experience, and the support of our vast industry contacts, we'll make Behind Bars one of the highest quality, most fun productions you've ever seen.
We've got the gear, software, and talent. What we do need are the funds to cover the cost of research/pre-production, travel, and food/lodging for the crew. Our goal is literally the break-even point on the first three episodes, with more to hopefully follow. We don't have the monetary support of a network like the Travel Channel, who invests their funds in classier projects like Ghost Adventures and When Vacations Attack. We've got a talented crew ready to go, but we can't do anything without your support--so put us to work!
