I'm Giancarlo Caracuzzo, and I'm the writer and artist for BoogeyMan #1. Boogeyman is a first issue of three inspired by my favorite action comics. If you like the Hard Boiled, Action, Noir and Super heroes style, , then you just might become a fan of BoogeyMan. BoogeyMan will be a 22-page full-color book that’ll include sketches and illustrations. The book is being written and drawn by me, and colored by Flavia Caracuzzo, my daughter, and it’s scheduled to be finished in August of 2017, and shipped out to backers in October of 2017. The book will be translated in English. This project is very important to me and Flavia. it’s the opportunity to realize our desire, an idea that unites us, we promise our best, help us make this dream come true.
- WHAT OUR STORY IS ABOUT...
- In New Sparta, a city surrounded by a thousand miles of desert where 19.000.000 people live, the ruthless and stony-hearted bishop and Prime Minister René "The Apostle" San Pietro rules undisputed since 20 years. In this city – where the devotion to mercy and limitless violence mix together – lives Samuel Leon, a wrestler living a life ruined by alcoholism and poor choices. What will look like a casual meeting with a mutants' terrorist squad will then reveal itself as a turning point for his fate. BoogeyMan tells the story of the birth of a superhero – or, better, an anti-hero – in an escalation of dramatic and surprising events, where there'll be no room for compassion and redemption...
- WHAT WE ARE TRYING TO DO...
- The aim of this Kickstarter campaign is to fund the first volume, composed by a trilogy of three BoogeyMan comics. The series is entirely written and it is now ready for its production phase, where it will be directed and drawn by me. The first volume will be a 22-pages long book, plus sketches and illustrations coloured by Flavia Caracuzzo, my daughter. Our supporters' contributions will help us cover the art and production expenses for the first volume. As you can see we're right on track and we've already produced some pages which you'll be able to see soon on the Kickstarter page for the campaign's duration.
I'm asking for A LOT of money for Print and Shipping. but Half of the funds are going to the production of the content, and the other half is getting the books printed and shipped. Here's a breakdown of where the funds are going.
